Seriously, if the OP could make this up and run with it as he has, then he is wasted in any career other than TV scriptwriting, this would make a wonderful sketch.

Better yet, if you haven't filled in the fixtures and fittings form yet, list "dog carcass" on the items you're taking with you from the garden.

good reminder actually, i did state on the list we were leaving the pond, fish, plants and external lighting.

Do i write to my solicitor confirming the amendment to be passed onto the buyers solicitors?

Came late to this...however, I am pretty sure the council bye laws only allow you to bury your own pet in most cases (and certainly only when it has not died from an infectous disease). As you have now buried someone elses dog, I await the thread where the council come knocking after a neighbour complaint, leaving you with a hefty fine and the cost of an exhumation by a registered waste company ;)

seriously...what happens if the sale falls through? or someone else comes along with a better offer?

are you going to have to have the dog exhumed?

    Yes.

Mind you they might point out there's some scary clause about not burying anything on the land ...
