errr...why do they need to say goodbye to the dog when they are planning on living in the house???? slight alarm bells here. are you sure they are definitely going to buy and haven't just put offers on various houses with gardens until they found one with an owner willing to allow the dead dog to be buried in it.

Perhaps it is being filmed for a "candid camera" type sketch!!

Clearly (at least to most fair-minded people..) the prospective buyers are loonies (IMHO). (Apologies to any other loonies reading/posting here... ooerr.. maybe a few of us are...)

In your shoes I'd thank them for their interest and advise them the house is going back on the market. If they want to bury their deceased woofie then gawd noes what else they might do. Can you imagine the sort of problems they might create, being of unsound mind?? Indeed, being of unsound mind would any purchase contract be valid??

Plan B. Tell them yes, as long as they complete the purchase first & let you stay as a £1/month tenant. You can then stay for, say, 9 months whilst they try and get you out, slowly, through the courts. (Tenants don't have to leave when Landlord asks them to. LL needs a court order: Then needs Bailiffs: These loonies will take forever to get through that legal quagmire..).

    Cheers!

Just called them. They would like to bry him where the pond is at the moment. They said they were going to fill in the pond as they have a child. Problem is I keep Koi in it and I wasnt planning on taking them with me.

All seems a nightmare now. Yes the pond space would be ideal, but what do I do about the fish?

I also keep Koi, I'm based in London if this is any good to you. PM me I might be able to take a couple off your hands

  • I have just tried to explain this thread to my Dh who is looking at me as if I have gone mad.

I have tears rolling down my cheeks trying to explain the 'Bag for life' and tufts of hair poking out.

    :rotfl:

This has got to be the funniest thread I have ever read

The estate agent has just called me to see how things went. I told him and I tHink he nearly fell off his chair.

He told me Mrs and Mrs X called him at 10am this morning to say they still love the property and they want to come back again this evening to measure up and say goodbye to the dog (as Mrs wasnt there this am). So they are coming round at 6pm. I told the estate agent they could have measured up yesterday and I suggsted to him that the lounge and garden was large enough to swing a dead dog as demonstrated in the last 24 hours.

Thanks for giving me plenty of laughs!

I cant decide if it would be tragic or funny if the buyers pulled out and the OP was left with a wrecked pond and dead dog
Maybe they didnt want to pay the burial fees at the pet cemetary

Good grief - it's just occurred to me that it possibly wasn't their dog but one they'd knocked down with their car and they needed to get rid of the evidence
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

someone should send this to Corrie for a plot line...... can you see Sally Webster as the "angry wife" - Kevin as the tolerant dumb husband - Rosie as the "drama-queen" and the other daughter as the "I'm phoning the RSPCA" if you do that.......
