Neck is still painful but slowly getting better, hopefully it will be just fine by the weekend. I'm waiting to hear whether I get a babysitting this week, trully hope I will for Friday night, I am working an hour longer today and on Friday,so that should give me an extra £18 hopefully.0 -
Just renewed my student card, £13:eek::eek:. That wasn't budgeted for
. I don't have much on my account till the end of the month, it will be a tight one!

New day, can't believe it's nearly mid September. Finally I received the book about making the will which is valid in foreign country as well so I can start reading/writing it.
It's hard to be a landlady, just had to make some phone calls and organize things for the flat, I'm trully fed up and really want everything to go smoothly. Oh,well, at least I'm in a lucky position to have a nice flat where I want to live in a couple of years time.
We booked accomodation for next year (August) as it was very cheap (thanks Martin:) ), I paid with my card but OH transfered the money straight away so I'm not using my overdraft. I worked an extra 2 hours yest, and should be an extra hour today and tomorrow, plus next week as well.0 -
Will is still not sorted as waiting for the life insurance company to finally send me the policy documents with a policy number on it. I am stuck without it, also have to find out the land registration number for property but other than that it's all getting into shape. I will try to do it tonight while babysitting.
Yes! Got a babysitting for tonight, an extra £26 should help me this month:). The loan overpayment finally went through so that's all done and dusted, I still have one month to go before I can really poor all my salary towards it but than it should be an easy ride (hopefully!).
Bad news though, the mortgage on investment property went up as the currency got weaker, we now own £42000 instead of £36000. It changes day by day but unless the foreign currency gains value, we will end up paying an awfully lot for it. I wish it would be an easy ride but can't even think about paying it back early until we sort out the loan here.
Weekend plan is going to ikea buying some new blinds and curtains, our landlort is financing them so we will only spend money on train ticket but at least we will have the choice of our own. I'll try to declutter the bedroom, stick some stuff on ebay, also need to clean the kitchen too.0 -
Ok, plan for the weekend and the following weeks:
- PAD towards loan overpayment account, I need to have at least £500 this month above the £1000 I'm saving for the emergency account

- cut down on sweets, allow myself only one a day!
- cut out completely diet coke/red bull
- sort out wardrobe
- buy curtains and sheet in ikea
- gym 4 times a week
- start studying for ou
- check out olympics website
- pack staff for friend for birthday
- write a list what needs to be taken to H in October

The extra babysitting money is good! I can imagine being a landlady is hassle, mind you, our landlord is awful and never deals with anything .
How long will it take to do the next OU section? I admire people who study from home, I don't think I could do it, just too many distractions for me!

New family member arriving at the end of April!!!

Ok, so over the weekend we decluttered our flat, it's all nice and tidy:). We got rid of so much staff but I guess once I reorganize my wardrobe than there will be some more. I have exactly 2 weeks before OU starts again so I really want to work on my list and expenses.
It's TTOM as well so not feeling great, tried to book the spinning class for tonight but it's fully booked so not sure if I will have the motivation to get to the gym. I must though, not feeling very well at the moment, lots of bloating going on:o.
I'm doing PAD towards the loan, I put the money on a saving account and I make the trip to the bank once a month to move it, I really hope by next summer we will be sub £15k. I want to pay £5k by 31.12.10, so far I'm about 1k away from this goal (if I count how much I can pay in Oct/NOv/Dec) so need to make up the short fall. I won't touch the emergency saving account, I need to have that security.0 -
Congratulations on pending aunt-hood
I had a can of redbull yesterday, I love the taste but I try not to drink it often as it's definately not good for you! The loan repayment plan sounds good, I have never come across one that you could overpay on but it sounds like a great idea
