Much better day today, OH was very apologetic at home, he realized that he was not fair one bit:j:j. told him that next time we buy a house, he'll deal with everything and I'll give him the instructions, he got all quiet as he is rubbish at these things:rotfl:.

Dreaded in-laws-to-be are at home already, I had a major fit last night as couldn't find the ironing board:D. Not like it's so small or anything:o.

Laptop is sorted but we still have problem with orange livebox, I need to sort that out as we didn't have internet last night at all.

also got the towels from Argos from martin's email, thank you for that, was looking for a bargain for ages. All I need is now just new sheet but that has to wait till the Xmas sales.

Oh, yeah, brownies were delicious, OH ate half of it meaning that i will need to bake again tmrw most likely:)

Sorry to hear about your OH's rant but it's nice that he has apologised.

Hope that livebox gets sorted for you soon, I don't know what to do with myself when the net isn't working :eek:

Ok, back after a couple of days. Alone this afternoon, my OH took his parents for a lovely boat trip down the River Thames, decided to stay behind and get to sort out the flat stuff, so many things to choose and order.

Livebox is sorted, the problem was our dear neighbours who are not dear anymore, they stole our internet connection by redirecting our phone line-it's all sorted now and we reported them.

Eastbourne was nice though on Friday the weather was crap, it was raining most of the time, but the saturday show was much better in the sunshine. I realized I'm not into airshows anymore, Red Arrows were great but that's about it:). I finished my book and played a couple of hours on the nintendo ds:) while enjoying the sunshine.

Moneywise we haven't done too badly but spent appr. £50 for 4 of us on food (with vouchers) for two days. Now back saving money and sorting out finances, hoping that I won't need to do any extra shopping this month (other than the normal weekly staff).

Ok, better get going, I need to:

• order electric oven and hob
• order fan
• order lights
• order curtain poles
• call the guy who fixes the kitchen furniture
• buy sink and tap
• call electritian about installing the oven, make an appointment
• email estate agent about keys for tenants
• buy a present for the estate agent (he got us the tenants without advertising the property and haven't asked any money for it-he only gets money from the sales of the property)
• pay deposit for the kitchen
• pay lawyer fees
• write complaint letter to Barclays

Ok, just found out that there is a major mistake in the kitchen meaning that we need to move the water pipes and the electric oven. Meaning lots of extra costs!!! :mad::mad:

I'm so furious as the survey did not show this one and we only have 2 weeks to sort it out as kitchen is arriving on the 4th September!

Good to hear that livebox is sorted, I hope they come down hard on your neighbours - what an awful thing for them to do :mad:.

The pipework sounds like a nightmare too, can you not compain to the surveyors that it was missed? I know it doesn't help in the mean time but it might be worth trying that avenue.

Yes, I have complaint but no one listened to me . anyway, it's all sorted now, electritian is coming on wed at 5, and the plumber the following Tuesday. Lots of extra costs but hey, houses are not cheap.It would be more expensive to wait and re-order the kitchen and not getting the tenants in on time, they just emailed me yesterday saying that they want to move next weekend regardless of kitchen or not...No pressure at all:).

Neighbours are moving out on the 1st September, they found somewhere cheaper, i'm relieved. And in-laws are leaving tomorrow as well, looking forward to a good night sleep, the snoring drives me crazy.

I found last night my birthday present from last year from my boss,it's a £100 voucher to one of the nicest restaurants in this area so will be booking a table for the bank holiday weekend. Most likely we will need to add to it for the drinks but it still worths!

My OH last night told me that he wanted to pay back £30k by next Xmas and we can really start trying for a baby:eek:. If I stay in this job than we can save a max of £20k a year so the £30k is overoptimistic:o. As for the baby, I really want one but not until we are sub £10k!!! Apparently his mum said that we were too old for babies anyway:eek::D. Never mind:D.

In-laws are leaving today so I get my bed back, I love our sofa-bed but it's smaller than our bed and OH took over nearly the whole:D. I need to do a massive ebay listing at the weekend, I have so much staff to sell, can't wait to declutter a bit!

My goodness you have been busy, rubbish about the in laws staying the kitchen confusion and the livebox, but atleast you have got it all sorted!

You've been a right busy bee, I need to take a leaf out of your book and try and ebay stuff!
