Thanks Missy, I'm well pleased, passing this course is the highlight of my week ;). No champaigne though, I'm babysitting tonight, should give me an extra £40 or so.

Moneywise I have appr. £100 on bank account till pay date (which is 30th) so will need to use credit card for shopping and pay it back at the end of this month.

Glorious Friday, can't wait till later tonight to go to sleep :).

I have had a nightmare day...

It all started well with getting my OU result back, I passed the course with good marks, very relieved. Than got a babysitting (extra money) so thought this was just getting better.

2 o'clock came, I logged into my internet banking and saw that the bank took out the money for flat deposit (a mere £60.000) but on the receiving end there was only £58.300 appearing. Called the receiving end bank what happened, they said that the sending back must have made a mistake but this morning they only received this amount and they suggested I go to the bank and ask them. As I haven't registered for phone banking I rushed to the bank, explained what happened and it took them more than an hour and a half to admit that they have made a mistake and refunded me the difference (the money had to be on receiving account today) but as it was already 4.30 they could not send the money out (don't know why). Anyway, it's all sorted now, we found a solution (costing the bank more money) and the money will be on Monday morning on the receiving end. I nearly had a heart attack and was shaking all afternoon. Than I had a mad rush back to work and did an afternoon work done in an hour :o.

Than OH called that our laptop is still not fixed so contacted dell to call him, and most likely they are going to take it away on Tuesday:mad:. Meaning I need to carry my work computer every day on the bike, really really don't want to. I cycle carefully but drivers are sometimes mad... Never mind.

It's 8 o'clock now and I really want a glass of wine but as I'm on bike after babysitting, I can't have any -not to mention that I only drunk alcohol twice in 18 months so probably even one glass would be far too many tonight.

Haven't had dinner yet, wanted to have a bowl of porridge but there is no way I'm moving my !!! from sofa in the next hour or so. anyone can recommend any good program on telly? Currently watching CSI:o.

Question: shall I send a written complaint to Barclays about what happened and ask them to refund the bank charges of sending the money (£40 priority)? Cause they only received part of it. They said that they will pay for the charges of the remaining amount.

I would try hun, there's no harm in it, it was there mistake after all, I would write a letter and explain it all and how urgent it was to get the money there etc.
