Well done on getting into the London Marathon!
Your emergency savings balance is very impressive and it was very kind of you to take your bosses son for a sleep over, I bet they were very grateful for a little rest
I watched a programme called supersize kids last night and it was very upsetting, I think I am now at my biggest and I hate it but I lack motivation so much, if we go to the Maldives next year I think I will have to follow a serious plan as I wanted to be a big old lump in the piccies!
Have a good weekend hun

Wow congratulations on getting accepted for the marathon! Were you lucky with the draw or are you doing it for charity? One of my friends is doing it for charity - he has to raise £2000 - eek!
I'm doing better with my gym going; it's body pump at the gym tonight0 -
Thanks girlies,
I always wanted to run the marathon before I turned 30 but never got in-this time, yes, I guess at the mere age of 31 (in April next year) it's still acceptable:). I just need to figure out how to run:D. Well, I'm fit and I can run so we shall see-I did the half marathon last year under 2 hours.
J, you need to get yourself disciplined, that's the only way of losing the weight. A couple of years ago I was between size 14-16 and looked really big as I'm only 5'5. I slimmed down to 10-12 and now I think I'm a 10 but would love to be on the lighter side of 10.Hopefully the marathon will help.
Sparklie, glad that you're much better with gym, keep going there and you will start enjoying it very much:). You might run the marathon with me next year. Charity places are awful-I don't know how you can raise as much money, I will choose one to support but at least I don't have a minimum limit!
Ok, better rush, still have lots to do.0 -

Back from Turkey, we've had a lovely holiday though I'm very tired. Haven't slept well at all while on holiday and we walked and walked a lot, never mind! But! New action plans have been formed:
1) I ate a lot on holiday, too much I should say and I can say that my tummy and middle area is definitely bigger than it supposed to be. Now, I am going to run the marathon in April so I have to start training for this- first running session is tomorrow evening so healthy eating and training starts tomorrow. I will try my best today but caught the tummy bug so not sure I can manage to eat anything today. My aim is that by Xmas I will be able to run the half marathon again within 2 hours. I will try to find a running buddy in the gym, will ask them if I can put up a poster as it's getting very dark early and I can't run on my own around this area, it's far too dangerous.
2) Debt. So the new plan is that put all my emergency savings towards the debt plus what other half can save and pay it back as soon as possible. He opened a regular saving account with £250 set up on it as an emergency saving account, that's what I will do as well and slowly built it up rather than having it right now on my account. I'm off to the bank today to pay £1750 towards the loan which will bring the balance down to £12000ish which is not too bad considering that the official first payment is on the 2nd of November. I really want to pay back Lloyds by the beginning of the summer (bit ambicious I know) and than start tackling tesco's.
3) Open university. First assignment is due in 9 days and I haven't done much so tonight is studying session for at least an hour.I have a tutorial on Saturday than need to write the assignment on sunday and post it off as I'm going to Hungary to see my parents on Thurs next week. Time management will be the key issue this year, I have no time whatsoever:(.
4) I need to be extra organised about everything as I don't want to rush around before Xmas to get things done.
5) Investment properties are doing well at the moment, rent is due today so will check bank account if it arrived.
Today's to do list:- go to the bank and pay over Lloyds
- go to Barclays and open regular saving account
- do food shopping
- return library books
- post dvd
- study for an hour
- call parents
- make a list what I need to buy before going to Hungary
- make a list what I need to do in Hungary while over there

Back again, had a busy couple of days.
So no savings on bank account but debt is looking better. I have 2 babysittings for this week, that's a minimum of £64 extra. We're off to the cinema on Saturday and to the restaurant (have voucher) so should be nice, Sunday I will be spending my time writing assingment.
I'm off to see a friend today, she has a huge bag of charity shop clothings, I might chose some of it before she takes it there. Otherwise all ok,n othing to report of.0 -
How is your tummy bug now? Hope you are feeling better
.
Good news on the babysitting this week, that must help loads. I think using the emergency fund to pay off the loan is a good idea if you still have something to fall back on, you have already managed to pay such a huge amount back :T.
I feel your pain with prganisation, I am so bad at it that I couldn't even spell it properly when I just typed it :rotfl:. I have up doing lists as I never crossed it all off then felt bad.

Stomach is much better, thank you. On the other side I burnt my hand with hot boiling water and have a huge blister on my thumb, can't even bend it. Apparently I shouldn't burst it but I think it will anyhow, it's just so big.
Babysitting tonight, not looking forward to it as I know it will be a long one, from about 6 till midnight:(. I need to have a nap at lunchtime:). Ok, better go to work.0 -
Blister burst just as I came out of the chemist so went back and they put sterile dressing on it. Woke up this morning to find that the new skin is developing, it's all red and raw but hopefully will heal soon. Babysitting was 6 hours last night- a mere £48, tonight's babysitting was cancelled which Idon't mind much, I need a sleep before weekend starts.
Feeling bad that I haven't been to the gym all week but with the tummy bug, burnt hand and now TTOM is here so will go maybe tmrw morning. On the other side I measured that running to work is 5.5 km, so from January I will try to run 3 times a week and back, that would give me 30km plus I can go for one long run over the weekend. I need to have a shower in the gym in the mornings, fortunately there is one 10 min walk away from work. Good old marathon training...
Right, better go and get on with things!0
