None in stock and pointless
The clue is in the title

Checked with one of the staff I know and he said they'd got several out the back, which suggested there could be stock in a lot of stores.
Remember, I actually saw these IN STORE at 7.45pm last night, so they DO exist somewhere!!!!!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Seems like a good price, if you can source one, but take note of this part of the review at home cinema choiceHowever, darker images have a tendency of looking digitised
and unstable with a certain amount of ghosting around moving
objects. This is due in part to poor contrast, which results in a
slightly flat picture and loss of detail. This erratic performance
can be distracting because your eyes are constantly being
drawn to the changes in light and dark.0 -
That review should be read in the context of it being £2000 at the time however.
At £297 they probably wouldn't even mention that in the review!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

But have a thanks anyway for the most original/oddest name I've seen in a long time!
My knowledge if plasma is perfectly fine thank you. Every maunual for a plasma screen I've ever seen even makes a note that the brightness of the screen will degrade and this is because of how plasma works (they utilize phosphors which are very unstable and prone to degradation at 50%).
to quote "Plasma manufacturers claim 30000 to 35000 hours [longevity]." Which at 10hours a day is approx the same lenght of time that a RP screen would need new bulbs. The difference is a bulb is quite innexpensive compared to replacing the whole plasma.
Even the very latest plasma screens are only just managing to double that life span.

How do you search for these reduced items? have done a search for anything sony and this doesent show up0

From experience the Sony bulbs last for around 2000 hours, and they are, (by comparison) expensive to replace.

Hi there,
Which store had them in mate?
Thanks!0 -
Phoned up the main call centre to find out there was 1 in stock in hedge end southamoton. When i phoned to reserve it was told it was a faulty one waiting to go back. And there was another store with 2 which were also faulty. So worth phoning to see if there are any in your area.
Thanks to OP
