    To the orginal poster:
    I suggest two actions:
    1. Dispute the chrage with your bank immediatley.
    2. Start a new thread in the Techie board asking how to remove the malicious program from your PC. Some of the Techies might not read this board. They will give you lots of helpful guidance.

i too have this problem as i type! i tried to remove it manually, by using the method on this site... http://www.spywareguide.com/product_show.php?id=2330

but when i went through regedit all the way through to DOMAINS, there was no files called DOMAINS present so i couldnt remove it manually! my bill was apparently for £39.99!! where do they get this rubbish from! it downloaded to my pc without my knowledge! so i do not know what to do, short of purchasing another removal tool that wont work when it says it does!! done that a few times now and dont want to do it again.

Thanks for the information, I have never downloaded music and am at a loss to know how to get rid of it. Will I get another? Am I liable? I am very much a novice on the internet and thought I had taken all the precautions necessary.

My brother had a similar problem without any of the family members going on these sites. My son ended up having to wipe their hard drive and start again. Soon sorted it though.

Don't pay any money to these people as they will be sending the same mail out to loads of people knowing that quite a few will actually pay up due to the embarrassment of having to contact them to tell them they are wrong. Nasty way to make money out of people.
