The third high level brake light was introduced in order to give following motorists etc. a better chance of seeing the vehicle braking.

And as such I'm not sure if they are a testable item, 2 symetrical ones are required, 3???? doubt itI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ,;)
But, Quoting Vaio;
So if it’s not working because it’s not connected then PASS but if it’s not working because the bulb is blown then FAIL. What about a missing rather than blown bulb? Does that count as not connected?
Will anyone ever check that??
Accepted IA, if it's fitted it needs to works, even if it doesn't need to be fitted.
Ok for the purists and ignoring what I said about 2 symetrical brake lights. Would a double sized mega whomper of a brakelight planted mid rear suffice???? Thinking road going track cars and similar.
Hmmmm, a string of leds that stretched to within X mm of the rear extremes would be ok, can't recall X unless I check,;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
