No, not if you are using it to watch live streams.
I-player etc.. would be OK.0 -

From your ISP, I won't go through all the posts, it's probably already mentioned but what is so cool about not paying for a TV license? Creates more hassle to avoid paying it than to just pay it and not worry about it for the next 12 months0 -
I've had various experiences with this over the past 5 years at 3 addresses - I neither own a TV nor watch any live-stream.
Roughly every month/2 months I get a letter threatening me with official investigation (presumably I am on the list of unlicenced properties). I wrote to them relatively early on at both addresses to say that I didn't need one etc. This usually stops the letters for about 6-9 months, then they come again.
In the 1.5 years at my present address, there have been 3 attempted visits, though I've never been in. At my previous address I had a visit whilst present - I explained the situation on the doorstep. They asked to check - I said that they would need a court warrant - they said they were prepared to get one. I decided that in the interests of saving the country some money, I'd let them check, though the guy was probably bluffing.
In an effort to get the letters to stop I've tried all sorts of tacks - from simple explanation of the facts, to suggesting that by pursuing me for watching a television that they were insulting my religion, to pure sarcasm.
Never seen a detector van, but I did invite them to park one on the double yellow lines outside one of the properties I lived in in my sarcasm letter.
If you do write to them, never sign or give your name - I'm sure they could find out, but don't make things easy for them!0 -

If you're genuinely not using a TV then £140 is a good saving considering the minimal hassle.0 -

Highly improbable yes, impossible no, it would not take long to search really. I know of people who have been convicted for not owning a TV license yet watching TV, I have had a few close calls myself in the pastmuch easier to forgo a few pints of beer a month or just re-adjust the budget to allow for a tv license purchase, a fine will soon claw back any previous missed licenses

My question was asking if it was possible and not that i would actually cheat the system.0
