  • I actually think that we are now just talking round in circles and have exhausted all the possible options and variables.

I, for one, am now just going to wait to see what Martin decides. On the whole though, a good debate with some interesting points and issues raised.

I know you are a proud father and family man from your past posts. Perhaps there is some honour in the title.

Yes I stand by both statements ,one was sexist, and had no relevance to the discussion,it made reference to the right of women to change their minds as opposed to men , please read post to see context--and I cannot see a problem with referring to a clique a group of brokers against a member of the public ,a network all with similar goals, and a Mortgage Daddy,a mortgage broker with children .I have written a lot of posts on this thread, and are they in your opinion the worst you could find .I rest my case, and I almost forgot YES I standby all my posts

Why not just say, "Martin has asked me to point out I am a mortgage broker, though I post only general infomation here for which I accept no liability."

I don't know how you say you are a mortgage broker without mentioning the word mortgage!

Bit concerned that I my name may lead people to believe I have a silver coloured car.

My interpretation is that there is no problem saying that you are a mortgage broker. The FSA allow you to advertise your main occupation without needing prior approval, what they have a problem with is advertising services.

ie. I am a mortgage broker - would be ok without prior approval

I am a mortgage broker specialising in adverse credit and right to buy who does not charge a fee. - would require risk warning, fee statement, representative apr, regulatory statement etc and prior approval by compliance.

I also feel believe that mentioning the FSA or registration would lead to the same requirements (as has been said many times before).

Going over old ground (again!) I know, but thought I would mention in again to reinforce the fact that I basically agree with your suggestion (and others that are similar) as being as much as could/should be said.

Of course there isnt. You are what you are. If someone asks your occupation, you dont then have to run off a load of compliance messages and issue and IDD etc. ;)

As you say, there is a lot of repeat stuff going on here. Take out all the waffle and repeating and this thread would lose 20 pages. Poor Martin when it comes to reading it all.

As per Andrew I agree this thread is now exhausted and there is nothing more worth saying on the subject - I was just wondering, do you think we should go back and delete any post which is "waffle" and off topic for Martins Benefit? or should we justleave it as it is?
