the latest twist revealing that english students will have to pay the increase whilst welsh students (and eu students attending uni in wales) will be subsidized to avoid the increase will only add fuel to the fire.
bloody ridiculous.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1334535/TUITION-FEES-Welsh-students-join-Scots-spared-rise-English-punished.html
Britain was facing a future of tuition fees apartheid last night as Welsh students were told they will be exempt from higher charges.
They will be spared the full £9,000-a-year premium at the expense of English students, bringing them into line with Scottish students who also receive far larger subsidies.
English students will still face the higher feesThose who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
But what happens to English people who study in wales? Or welsh students that study in England
2,3,4,5 tier system ( all join, in all together now) "Its PROGRESSIVE" Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

english people who study in wales will be charged new higher fees under the proposals whilst welsh who study in england get a subsidy so will not pay increase. yes very progressive.:D of course uk taxpayers (not just welsh) will be contributing to the coffers for the subsidy that only the welsh can get. also spanish, french and other eu will also get the subsidy if they attend a welsh uni. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

Butterfly Brain shows classic middle class thinking. "I want what I want, Im not prepared to pay for what you want.
Two ways of doing things.
1. Plan universal provision from the centre. We all get the same.
2. Devolved decision-making means place x spends its money on something place y doesn't.
Middle Britain whines about pencil pushing mandarins telling us what to do, then complain its a post code lottery when they don't. Make your minds up.....0 -
