http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/liberaldemocrats/7921048/Liberal-Democrat-support-plunges-to-12pc.htmlThe YouGov survey for the Sunday Times also recorded a steep nosedive in the popularity of the party's leader Nick Clegg since he became Deputy Prime Minister by taking the Lib Dems into coalition Government with the Conservatives.
Mr Clegg's personal satisfaction rating was eight points, compared to the spectacular 72 points he achieved in the wake of the first televised leaders' debate during the election campaign.
Today's poll suggested that Tories have not suffered in the same way from going into coalition.
David Cameron's party were up five points since the General Election on 42per cent, with Labour gaining ground on them - up eight points since the Election on 38per cent.
The Lib Dems rating was half the 24per cent the party won in the election and the lowest since October 2007, when Sir Menzies Campbell was forced out as leader.
Wow.
That's truly spectacular...... Cleggs approval rating down from 72% to just 8%.
The Lib Dems are toast if they keep going down this path. How long before the rebellion begins?

It's absolutely mind boggling how far and fast those approval ratings are falling.
Seems the Tories are detoxifying their brand by dumping all their nuclear waste at Lib Dem HQ.
This is all going to end in tears.....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Anyone know what his usual rating was....before the televised debate as he was always going to win that one.0

I love the way MCTittish follows these polls and statistics.
I'm not sure what this one means but it must mean house prices are rising."The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -

It's not Cleggs fault the people who voted for him were too stupid to understand what they were voting for, it was pretty obvious to most people with a bit of common sense.0

Agreed, voting for a party whos primary policy would result in perpetual coalition governments and then complaining that you haven't got what you voted for is childish.
If you only ever want labour vote for them.
Frankly the liberals a screwed if they dont stick it out for 5 years and because of the parish reforms coming to equalise the voting any subsequent vote would likely strengthen them. If i recall one of the main reasons Brown bottled an election in 08 was the lib dems were weak so not able to take tory enough votes to let labour in.0 -

I am one of those stupid ones, voting for the contents of the LibDem manifesto, yes naive in the extreme 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Oh, don't be so hard on yourself. A lot of other far-Left sympathisers made the same mistake.
Include me in that group, but never again.:mad:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
