Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Hi, I have just upgraded to contract from PAYG (going from O2 to Tmobile), and have some credit left on the PAYG.

Obviously O2 will not transfer the credit in any way and it will be lost as soon as I submit the PAk code.

My contract has loads of minutes/texts/web so using the credit in those ways would just be wasteful.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to use up the credit so that I have a chance of getting something back for it - to satisfy the MSE in me?

Thanks! :)

    1. Enter competitions via text?
    2. Keep it as a backup when you have overseas relatives come to visit?
    3. If you know someone else who also has a PAYG account, you could try and transfer the credit?
    4. Can you buy Mp3's using call credit?

    Can't think of anything else.

Ring some 0906 numbers.... Will eat the credit no problem. Be careful with text services as if you are keeping your number when you go on a contract you will still recieve texts and be charged after you go onto contract.....

Variation on Big Lee's answer - use it for chargeable o84xx numbers, directory enquiries, overseas calls.

Ring a sex line. Your credit will last about 30 seconds... or so I'm led to believe.

    Blimey !

Try your op but I expect the answer will be no. Unless it was purchased in error or without your permission

The networks won't change it back to money for you. Or you could just keep the same £10 going round forever !

You could try betting sites that allow text payments (like https://betnow.co.uk/help/how_to_bet_by_txt.aspx), find something (line tennis) where the odds are much the same on 2 outcomes and put half on each. Then withdraw it all. . .

I also asked this on hotukdeals and someone suggested a betting site called betnow.com. It's £3 a bet and it comes out of your payg balance. You can withdraw any winnings to a bank aco!!!! or credit card (can't remember which). I've placed 6 bets so far and am about £1 up but I'm just trying to break even. I thought this was a great idea, loads of people did it with the balances from their O2 goals SIM promotion if you read about that.
