  • The big problem of this business is the stupidity of CAB advising the victims of scammers to appeal to the scumbags. Why don't the CAB actually research the law instead of taking advice from the BPA and reading Perky Law for Dummies? We all know of instances of daft advice from Consumer Direct.

The Baywatch page on the Mobilise website is so full of errors, with all that talk about "fines" and "blue badges". They really need educating about this.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

You can't educate the ignorant! And I can make a pretty good guess at Helen Smith's reaction to being told PPCs can not legally enforce any action against the non-disabled using disabled spaces. This is sad for the charity's priorities as seeing things for what they are will help them take more formative and useful action. Even worse, maybe accepting the truth would mean less blood money from PPCs for the charity.

I see there is a "comment" facility on that page. I wonder if they moderate it?! :)

Who wants to bet that Mobilise has never heard of the PPC and has never received a penny from them?

Nothing on their website, so far

They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Edit: only clear evidence of support seems to be a claim made by UKCPS themselves http://ukcps.net/mobilise.php
who claim to be merely corporate members. A google search for mobilise UKCPS reveals that UKCPS has never been mentioned on the official Mobilise website. It is still possible that UKCPS do hand over money from disabled people they have scammed for membership fees, which they clearly do with the sole intent of filling their own pockets.

It would seem the only thing Mobilise as a charity could do would be to cancel UKCPS's membership and not accept further membership payments from them on behalf of disabled people they have scammed.

They are aware of the PPC. If you look on the left-had-side of this page You will see the UKCPS Logo.

Also look here for another page full of misinformation

Surely they must have read this on the UK Government website:-
The Blue Badge Scheme does not apply to off-street car parks, private roads and at most airports.

That must be a paid for advertisement. I cannot see it but have ad-block plus with firefox which removes adverts. On disabling the adblocker yes I see it.

    Something else intrigues me...

didn't see that as I had adblock on, well they need to be made aware of the scammers then.
