Good Morning kaffesmile.gif Lurkio :D Have a nice day:)
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Well, didn't drink last night, so that's two in a row. I slept better again and feel really quite good today! Yesterday I felt tired all day - almost as if my body was saying 'this sleep without any alcohol in your system is good, let's have some more of it!' :)

I did this about 3 weeks ago, but then drank on the third day. But it's really rare for me to have 2 AF days in a row and I think the time before that was around February! And I honestly can't remember when I last had 3 AF days in a row, so tonight is the night!

Putting it down in black and white like that does rather make me sound like a sad alcoholic though, doesn't it? And while I know I'm not, I'm still sure that this is the time to do something about this. So my idea is that I'm AF tonight and tomorrow (making 4 days in a row), then I'll have some wine on Friday because, well, it's Friday! Then see over the weekend.

Thanks all for the support and welcomes. I think it's good to be here!

Morning all, espesh to our lovely NTC, so pleased to have you back! Xx

Just had to pop on quick and say who the F*** does that woman on GMTV think she is just now? They are talking about the new legal high drug out and was asked if she thought whether drug addicts and alcoholics should be treated as patients or like criminals. She said we shouldn't give sympathy, its the persons decision to take the drug. She has obviously never been addicted to anything!!

Lovely hot sunny day here, was up with the lark (still waiting for the other lazy g1ts to get up mind), been sat outside the chalet with coffee and a paper and its glorious, but that woman has really got my goat

Speak to you all later, missing you all xx

    Morning All:hello:

3rd AFD under my belt (that's 2 for the challenge). No bells 792236-tn_bells.gif and it's always nice to get through day 3. It takes 3 days for nicotine to leave the body - is it the same for alcohol.

    Shaggy

    Morning everyone.

Hi Shaggy....yes I think it is 72 hours.
Good luck and well done on three days.

Well done to everyone else trying/succeeding on this thread.
It is well over two years now since I had a drink and it is all down to this thread and the people on it.
I know some have left because they thought it was making them think too much about alcohol but I read it everyday...even if I dont post.....I need the reminder of why I am not drinking........One IS too many......
So stick around peeps.....it works for some of us.:)

Oh...and well done Fay on 2 weeks AF;)

    Take care of you

So good to hear from you lovely and I hope your holiday is going well. No sun here sadly in fact its throwing it down so enjoy whilst you can. Agree with you about the GMTV woman but sadly addiction is rarely understood by those people who don't have addictions.

I will come back at some point today with my plans for the AF challenge but it is good to feel I have made step 1 in dragging this back to normal again.
