Not staying long because I don't want to catch a cold! Hugs to everyone feeling poorly. Hope you feel a bit better after a night's sleep marru as you must be fighting fit for your interview.
Welcome Alchera. When you feel ready perhaps yuo want to tell us what you're hoping to achieve drinking-wise?
Your flat sounds brilliant BP. I love the idea of the cityscape view. Good to hear your life/finances are sorting themselves out. Belated happy birthday for the weekend.
Good news about your 'in-laws' cazza. Maybe you'll get some luck with finding a new home soon too.
 to the wicked stepmother fay. She must be really evil to get you arguing.
Sorry one or two are struggling with AFness but :T to those pushing ahead. Remember every day counts. I've dragged myself back on the wagon tonight after a very long weekend of socialising.

Behaviour Change Stuff -
This is the first part of the behaviour changing stuff I was going on about. The second part leads on from here so although this bit seems rather simplistic bear with it.
The first question to answer is this.
'The area in which I am thinking about changing is..............' For example this could be.'My drinking behaviour, smoking behaviour, eating behaviour.
Then list in two separate columns the positives and negatives for 'IF I DO CHANGE THIS BEHAVIOUR'
So for example for drinking a positive maybe 'save money' a negative may be 'I won't be able to relax'
Be as flippant or profound as you likein your reasons.
Then after looking at the positives and negatives that you have found decide 'How certain are you that you want to change this behaviour?'
1 being not at all I don't want to change to 10 being absolutely I want to change. Remember this is about want not need.
It is ok to not want to change when you have weighed up the pro's and con's of changing.
Ok so that's the first bit! I can see this being a long night!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
When you ahve done that bit and had a think move onto the next bit.
Look at the disadvatages that you listed for changing the behaviour and think of ways you could reduce them.
Example- 'I will lose my social life' could be reduced by 'I will find new ways to spend my evenings/time with friends
List under the 2 headings
Disadvantages of change.............................................Ways of reducing disadvantages
(please ignore me if you realaly don't want to hear this! I won't be offended!)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

3rd Part
Make a list under the POSITIVE/NEGATIVE heading but this time for 'IF I DONT CHANGE THIS BEHAVIOUR'
This is the one that got me I have to sayHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
And finally-I can hear the cyber sighs of relief from here.
As step 2 Rate from 1 to 10
I this time 1 being VERY CERTAIN 10 being NOT CERTAIN AT ALL the killer question- How certain are you that you want to stay the same?
Hope that makes some kind of sense?
So if your score out of 10 is higher on the second test you want to change more than you want to stay the same (Even if you never knew that before you started or knew it but didn't realise how changing was far better changing was to staying the same)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Well I just wrote out a long post and then pressed the space bar and it all disappeared.............
Feeling carp tonight........mixture of having a cold, a very stroppy, hormonal, just blooming horrible 16 year old son and being totally heartbroken as recently split with other 1/2.
Thinking of all of you.......AF or not. Too many to mention individuals but a quickie for
SIM well done on getting all your paperwork together and for warding off that 'I need a drink' feeling. Hope all goes well for you.
GraemeCarter so wise...........so true.
You always seem to hit the nail on the head. Everyone (that didn't live with him) thought my dad was the lovliest, gentlest, kindest, funny man.
Quite different to being locked in a wardrobe by your mum because dad wanted to beat the living daylights out of you or seeing him collapsed on the floor, 6" away from the Schnapps bottle he couldn't reach, trousers wet..........laying in a pile of vomit.........not the best childhood memories.Nicotine Free since 01.08.2010 :j:j:j
