SSG, sorry I have to post and run but I'm about to be late for work (and I only live 2 minutes away!) as I've not even got myself dressed yet......
Tip the voddie down the sink, less temptation, it will sing to you from that cupboard and just when you least expect it you will suddenly come up with a justification to open the door, trust me, this is what will happen, I've lived with it daily. Hope you're feeling better later hun.
Really, gotta dash  the parents will be dropping their kids off early this morning as it's their first day and they'll want photographs at the front door with their brand new uniforms on
And, they'll probably drive up and nick my parking space!!!

SSG and RN, I know exactly where you are coming from. I find that not having any in the house helps. I cant go out and buy any easily as the shops are a way away and close quite early (and no off licenses either).
That said, I thought I would be fine last night and then found a small bottle of tonic - Gin rapidly joined it. So not AF yesterday, but only one stiff Gand T (probably 2/3 units).
So I am still on 1 please SHAGGY
Better get on, my course starts soon adn dont want to be late.
Trying to keep in budget.

Still only on 1 Day and feeling very sorry for myself after a binge last night, DH decided to have a lapse in his teetotalism and dragged me with him (not kicking and screaming but very willing
) and so I am yet again feeling rough and wishing I had some sort of willpower! I am going to look up AA meetings now....

Hello chaps and chappesses . I'm joining the fray for September please Shaggy, 1AF out of target of 20. Have had my most drinking days in a month since 2008 in August so just want to get back on track, constant vigilance and all that. So here I am again, again. Have got a house full of booze at the moment (absinthe, anybody?) but doesn't really call to me, it's when I'm out that I forget to say no. Haven't been ott but dipped below half the month AF which is not what I want.

Morning all
2 for me please Shaggy!
Shoppy - I think where I'm lucky is that OH, as I've said before, doesn't drink. If he did then I know I would drink a LOT more. I can go without a drink a long time , but the first time someone OFFERS one I hear "oh go on then.." popping out of my mouth. If you think AA will help then please go for it. The constant cycle of abstinence, bingeing and self recrimination can be exhausting. Good luck.
Fay - thanks, I'm ok now. Feeling a bit tired of it all, if you know what I mean, so am concentrating on me and Piglet and OH for a couple of days. Me and Piglet are going to make a chocolate cake this afternoon for my brothers birthday....its gonna be messy!!:D
SSG - I'm with Jo - Pour it down the sink!
OH has half day today to have piglet this afternoon while I go to work. Mum and Dad are having four very well deserved days in London, doing all the sights us kids would never let them do when we were young!:rotfl:(St Pauls, Knights Templar Burial, Museums etc). Me and Piglet are going to go down Mum and Dads house this morning to check everythings ok and to nick the food out of the fridge she said we could haveThen choccie cake making . So busy busy. Better get dressed I suppose :rotfl:
Have good days all!
