I'm off to see if I can find some recipes to add to that lot, some store cupboard stuff as fridge/freezer space is limited. Then I shall order this lot online, seems a shame to waste the order I've just created
I'm really busy today by the way..... :undecidedDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Okay, well I've got 6 (not 7) recipes.... (lots of pasta but keeps the cost down
)
Spanish Omlette
Pasta Carbonara
Chilli
Pasta Alfredo
Cottage Pie
Pasta Amatriciana
I have put all the ingredients into MySupermarket and Tescos comes out the cheapest for me, I haven't included chilli powder, garam masala, oil or instant oats (for the cottage pie) as I already have it in the cupboard.
Costings for 5 of us for 6 days is:
Drum roll please.....
£19.35 in total
£3.23 per day for 5 portions
65p per person per day
:T
I'm sure someone will come along and do it cheaper but this is the girl that spent a little over 20 quid on one meal last night (and that was just for 3 of us as the small'ies had hot dogs and then it turned out that the bigger child had tuna pasta left from lunch....so 20 quid for the two of us then *rolleyes*.....was nice though) So basically that meal last night, I could've fed all five of us for 6 days with 65p change
I apologise for being off topic but it's fab to have real reader feedback, so I wanted to jump up and ask you more!:D

Thanks for the recipe link jo. I'll check it out. We, too, had freezer bolognese last night. Tonight I'm doing my own version of Tana Ramsey's sausage casserole (I don't use chorizo, ordinary bacon instead of pancetta and a minimum number of sausages cut into pieces. Sometimes no leeks either, just xtra onions and I add in a few new potatoes as we're greedy). Tana and Gordon wouldn't recognise it but it's delish, you could eat the sauce as soup:D
Good news on the results randomname but  to being messed around by your GP. I'm not surprised a little 'celebration' was in order. Our local hospital has a weird system where the letters are typed in South Africa so protracting and complicating the process. At my hairdresser or dentist I can just make my next appointment on the way out. But that would be far too simple.
Lurks is on holiday this week (and maybe next too), I think in Greece.
Have a great time at the zoo MissP, hope sun shines for you.
Have a good day all.0 -
hi,:) I hope you don't mind the interruption, but that's fascinating, we've not found that list to work out best at tescos before, and we've run it through mysupermarket a heck of a lot of times LOL! Can I just ask is it cos you don't have an asda near you?
I apologise for being off topic but it's fab to have real reader feedback, so I wanted to jump up and ask you more!:D

Tesco always seems to be the cheapest for me regardless what I'm buyingin fact it's always in this order, so don't know why I bother with using MySupermarket!! :rotfl:
Please, stop by again soon, we like the disruption
