hi everyone, long time no see :j

can't believe it's onto another thread, been so long since I last posted!

I am still struggling to maintain no alcohol but I am up to about 3 days a week now, sometimes more, so I am pleased with that.

I have found a substitute, bottlegreen (brand) Lemongrass and Ginger cordial made with sparkling water. It's not the cheapest but it's cheaper than alcohol!

no idea why it works so well, as it's nothing like my normal preferred tipple of red wine, but it is very zingy/zesty, and as mentioned in a post above, I am finding that I feel thirsty so much more when I don't drink, so maybe my desire to drink is actually just being plain thirsty!

life is still a bit of a shocker here but gradually I am getting to grips with things, and i'm determined to use alcohol less and less.

so.... I have had an AF day today hurrah! should manage now until the end of the week :) I even managed a Saturday and Sunday night the other week, practically unheard of!

    love to all xx

edit - DecemberBaby, I'm so sorry to hear your news :(

    Oh my Goodness

Are you a friend of his on facebook? If its any consolation I have only this weekend seen a pic of my son's friend. She is stunning looking, not sure of her nationality (not that that matters of course). They have been on holiday together, but I am not sure how serious it is. But judging from the pics that I was not meant to see, it looked pretty serious  Heavens .........................................

But only one teabag, now that is just so terrible .......................

Have a hug, I think you need one ;)

  • Thanks budgie ! Hug much appreciated.
Yep DS is a FB friend, I know that's quite a status to behold :) I shall say nothing about his GF until he 'thinks' to mention it.
Tis strange having access into their social lives, so your DS is still refering to her as a friend ?

Will be an early walk to corner shop with dog tomorrow if the day is to be started right with PG .Although I think I may have some Earl Gray hidden away somewhere.
