    Hi again

Stealing a quick 5 mins here while baby DD asleep! :D
WM done & clothes on line, done loads of ironing, but still to put away. DH & DS (3 yrs) gone for a long walk - promise of chocolate from shop at the end as a sweetener for DS! :rotfl: Fish defrosting for tea (kedgeree), then washing up to do, having bacon butties for lunch & got to find DS name tapes for new nursery school clothes.
House, esp downstairs, looks like something from 'How clean is your house' (before!), so am doing a little clear-up job every time babies are asleep or being watched by DH or DS (18 yrs). Got all sorts to sell on netmums board, bigger things may sell on well-known auction site, so need to sort out properly - will take a few days by itself, that job!
Seems like lots of you are having busy DIY-ish days, so hope you get done & manage to relax later!
Off to get started or little un will wake up - see you later.
    A xo

Good morning all, had a nice lay in back in my own bed after my visitors had gone .Spare room bed was o.k. but nothing like my own one.Woke about6.00 and have been relaxing and reading my library book.I'm going to have a lazy day today ,but will be off to my DD's around 4.00 for dinner.
Still heard nothing from the lady whose purse I found on Saturday I shall take it down to Chatham police station tomorrow I think.I spent an hour phoning around last night trying to track her down I think I'll just let the Plods find her.

Just a quick lurk before I head out into the sunshine.

Been lots of NSDs here recently though I'll probably have to break that record today. Am going out to visit a friend and hit the beach, a long walk on the coast will blow away some cobwebs as I've spent too long sitting at my computer or driving in my car. Got a weird sore left knee which hurts after resting but the pain goes within 1 minute of walking <confused>.

I'm away from home for 4 days next week, all work related, and in 2 different hotels, not that keen but it's better than driving up and down the flipping A1 all my days.

Dishes washed - some clothes washed and hung up and now going to futter around doing eyes and teeth. Think I'll need a jacket as there's a fair old wind blowing outside and suppose that it'll be worse further up the north east coast I go.

Hope everyone is getting on OK, not so much with each other but with their lives!

    Morning.
We had a late start today as we had friends over last night, had an un-OS takeaway, and a very late night.Especially DH as he did his usual trick of falling asleep downstairs ;)-I'm sure it was getting light when he came up.

Not had any word from DSons at their festival, presume they cant get much of a signal in Cumbria. Its certainly quiet ,and tidy...

Tea is roast lamb with mint sauce.Thought we might as well have it as the lads aren't that keen on lamb, and the joint is a small one anyway.Plus it'll make space in the freezer, cant get anything in there at the mo.

Think I've inspired my friend to make a baby quilt for her nephew, she really liked the one I showed her.She brought me some cotton shirts that are now too small for hubby,so I can cut them up to add to my stash of fabric.

I don't think we'll be going far today,a lot of the roads round here are shut as there is an 'Iron Man' competition on.
Anyway, havea good Sunday, good luck to all those decorating.x

  • Good afternoon all, firstly, I have some hot cross buns that are stale and sure I have some long life custard somewhere, any ideas what to do with them?

I fancy a nice long walk along the river today with OH and the dogs (I think a lot of it is guilt motivated from the amount of chocoalte I have consumed over the past few days!)

Mum is coming round for a cuppa this afternoon with some Chinese students she is boarding. She doesn't fool me, I know it's only becasue she wants to show of my chihuahuas to them! :rotfl:

OH has popped to the shops for the papers and has said he'll make us some brunch when he comes home, I fancy eggs. Yummy.

jc2703 I empathise with you, 2 of my medications have been increased and I started on the larger doses last night, they made me go loopy and I was chatting rubbish to my poor OH for the best part of an hour!!!!

    Hugs to all xxxxxx
Hmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!

Yes, like Bread and Butter pudding. Put butter on the HXBs first then the marmalade, arrange artfully bung it in at 160-180 for about twenty mins til the top goes golden! I'll be coming too. :D
