    Good Morning All

Hello again Cranky  Glad to hear the kitchen is nearly there.

Bitsy - hope the headache clears.

Having a very slow & relaxed start this morning. It is OH's birthday today and we are waiting for the kids to get up so he can open his pressies. DD has been having lie ins for ages now DS is which is great some days but others is sooooo annoying. OH's main present is tickets to see Ghost Stories in london in a couple of weeks, I am getting a little bit nervous about this as everyone keeps saying how terrifying it is

Will cook brunch today, scambled eggs and bacon but then we are off out to Chinatown :jnot sure if the kids are coming or not :o (will be cheaper if they dont :D) so I will be having a starbucks or two.

Off now for a little surf on here then suppose I best get dressed, have a great day.x

    Morning all,

Busy day ahead here - OH's coming home after 3 weeks away :j, so will have to clean and tidy. I've been so busy preserving and picking and making, the house has only had a cursory tidy and clean each week.

Still to make today are: white currant jelly, finish off the sourdough bread, and plum jam. Yesterday, apart from shopping, I made white currant wine, messed with the sourdough, made black and white currant jelly, granola and started the crystallized plums.

Am just having a cup of tea before I take the dog out and then start - didn't finish until 1am this morning and was awake at 7 so knackered already!

    Have a good day all!

    Morning all,

Happy Birthday to Mr EG x

Looks like we have had rain overnight, but brightening up now, I have a load in the wm and another to go in, will hang both out today.

OH and I got loads done yesterday, he sanded the wood in
the spare room, and I sanded the window sills, and cleaned the years of paint splashes off of the frames, took me 2 hours to do each window:(, anyway today we can prime and top coat the wood, then we just have the wallpaper to hang, then new flooring and skirting boards, Jackie G I feel your pain :rotfl:

DD is off with her dad today, so I think we might visit the boot sale later on, and then paint when we get back.

Dinner will be roast chicken, I might do mash, cos dd never wants a big dinner after she has been with her dad, (they have lunch out), so might do OH some mash, and I will have salad (yawn :D)

Ok better get on, have good days all xx

Morning all..........................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

It was sunny this morning when we got up, clouded over now. We are off to the Sunday market to get more of the rolls and then to the garden centre, I need to get stump killer for the snowberry stubs, they need to come out.

Pork for supper with roasties and veg from the garden.

I weighed myself this morning 12st 12 or 13st 7 depending on where I put tyhe scales on the floor, think I am going to have to use the boot room floor, its fairly level. Not just at the moment though, need to get the roller blind on the window otherwise I will have a audience of the farm workers....LOL....

Now I have a plea.......last year I loaned a book about the history of the Amish to someone who posts on the board, please can you let me have it back, I think a year is long enough to read a book. It is part of a collection and I cannot afford to buy another copy. PM me and I will send you my address to return it. Thank you.

    ¡Hola!

I'll let you guess what the weather is doing!:o

    :bdaycake: Mr EG

Had a text last night from DS(25) to say he was at a 60's Motown night, and it was really good all the great music from growing up (I'm a Motown fan). Seems I did his music education no harm! I wonder how much of today's music will still be appreciated 50 years after the event!

I have a better offer than Bitsy, Jackie-G, the house out here needs emulsioning from top to bottom:D. More suitable for winter months when it is a little cooler.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Paint provided;).
Decorating and DH comes close to housework and me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just had 1/8th melon for brekky, could not face cooking this morning. Will probably have to bring the salad lunch forward, which is maybe not a bad thing, cos with the heat hunger has disappeared. Seem to have stuck on 4kg off. Will keep it going a few days longer, and if no progress then will consider other options. Today I will make burgers for me, and I think DH is fancying Spag Bol!

Went for a walk last night after dinner, along the nearest beach, thought it would be cooler at the side of the sea:cool:. Arrived back at 10.30pm melting.

:grouphug: to all those not feeling great, and all our MIA friends.

Cranky - glad to see you back with us, and that your kitchen is getting useable.

    Take care all - DG

    Morning All

Sleep in for me this morning. Much needed as I took my tablet last night and it leaves me very heavy eyed on a morning!

I have 'stuff' all over the kitchen and I'm not sure where to start so I'm going to have another coffee while the painkillers kick in then straighten up and will rope the kids in to fetch and carry for me :D

Have to take eldest step daughter back to her mother today... *relieved smiley* and then have some photo audits to do. Need to get as many as I can done today and after work this week as I go to my mums on Friday.

Have a stuffed pork loin (YS) for dinner which i'll cook now and leave to cool and prepare the spuds and veg so I can just light the dinner when we get back.

I can hear DH shouting at the kids so thats him awake :D Have a good day x

Back for another cuppa and to say that my kitchen is finished !!!!!!! :D:D:D:D It looks great, I am very smug this morning. I will post on FB when OH comes back as I can't put photos on this laptop.

Sorry Bitsy, I don't do pink, and I would like a wee winter week in the sun, Donny, HERE I COME!! :D

Happy Birthday to the Essex-Boy, hope he has a good one.

    See you all later! X
