Yay another NSD for me Missy Spoons please :D:D:D I'll have to post this and then check what my signature says as otherwise I'll get it wrong! :(

Edit to add: number 5 for me now - thats more than i thought but then i forgot (again) that i hadn't posted in the first week of Aug so had 3 to update! :o oops!

Welcome Schiff, we're a mad but lovely bunch :) I don't properly support football (not a die hard fan) but do follow my home team which happens to be a relatively unknown team from the north of Scotland who currently sit somewhere in the First Division (shhhhhh!) :D
Those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter :o

I would be too..............if I was old enough to remember it :o ....you young whippersnapper you!!
    music-smiley-013.gif
At first I was afraid, I was petrified,
Thinking I could never live without you by my side,
But then I spent so many nights making meals plans, it's not wrong,
And I grew strong, ...and I know this one too, but doesn't everyone!!!
Without my purse I'll get along........hey hey........It's NSD 5 ...well done!
(Just let me know when you've had enough, bearing in mind there's still 20 days left in the month:o) ...all the more chances to hit the NSD target!
:rotfl:Love it LfV - reading this so close to bed-time (determined to turn in before midnight) means I will have my head full of tunes...quite like the idea actually! ;)
Right sorry for the rant, the good news is that the builder was amazing, finished the whole job in one day, charged me much less than i expected to pay & the new layout of the kitchen diner looks amazing :j ...see, every cloud....sounds like you got a good builder there, hold onto him!!
Everytime I feel so tired of DIY that i could cry I just have to look at it & I know that it will convince me that the finished job will be soooo worth it!! :T ...sounds great already!
Aww Jo, hope everything is ok? I'm raising my glass to you on Wine Wednesday!!!! ...I echo this , though don't drink, so water in my glass (don't "do" tea or coffee either!!)
BDINI - sounds like you are going great guns with your DIY...we tend to be soo much slower round here...determined to get a unit in my shed washed and sanded down tomorrow so I can start painting it tomorrow afternoon...now that would be great. Still waiting for a quote to get our cooker hood installed (need to drill through awkward-shaped chimney flue, so an expert required, rather than DH, who has done pretty well everything else :D)...it's taken us a ear to get this far!! Hey hoh, I suppose I have had the excuse of being ill all of last year and now this year getting back to work has taken a lot out of me...but determined to get more done while it's still warm (and dry!!)...watch this space!

Now off to finish my third quilt square so I can get it posted on Friday (spending day!!).

    Night, Night....

    music-smiley-013.gif I will s*****e.......!!!

It's funny, at a social gathering, if I'm sick of listening to Man Utd talk, and join a group of women chatting at another table, they stop talking. No idea why. I hate Man Utd (more so being a Man City fan). Do you know how we refer to them - Manure. It gives a lot of satisfaction that!
Anyone (male or female) who didn't want to talk about "manure" would be more than welcome to come and sit at any table I was at - just as long as (s)he didn't start talking about "man !!!!!!" or any other S-H-one-T-ball team either :o

(I get both the Manchester nicknames at loud volume from the other side of my garden wall at all hours of the night/morning, especially after they've played in a derby  )

Probably worth mentioning that I'm renowned for a hatred of sport of all types - so no athletics, golf, snooker, F1, rugby etc either thankyou ;)

Just wanted to pop on and say 'Hi' Kathy, good to hear from you. Very brave of you taking Orphans things to Animals in Need, I am sure they appreciate it. I gave a big bag of Guinness' renal food to C.L.A.W.S (local cat charity) when he crossed Rainbow Bridge, and some of his other bits. But I've still held onto his brushes (won't even let OH brush our other cat with them) and I can't part with his scratch post, even though we've moved since...is that silly? Gosh, sorry, that wasn't supposed to be about me. Big hugs to you - keep taking one day at a time xx

Schiff - welcome to the board (I'm a newbie this month myself) I would join in the football talk but I'm a Celtic Ghirl (thanks to OH, well it's either than or be a football widow 9mths of the year) but it seems my team has forgotten how to play fitba so far this season.... grrrr.

  • Hi, NSD #4 for me please :D I have not even had internet shops on today! I have a VERY clean house now as I spent the day scrubbing instead! Tomorrow is upstairs cleaning day, ironing and gardening so should avoid spends then too :)
I don't do football either as I have lived in 5 areas that have teams and can never decide what my 'home' team would actually be...I should get one as my boys will want to go when they are bigger, at the moment that would be my local team Yeovil town I suppose (They seem to lose alot I think?). Hubby loves MotoGP so we always do motorbike sport...either that or be a sport widow and stay home. I am more a movie fan really.

Welcome Schiff - wow a man - and did you see that it was BigMumma enticing him in ??????? Had to be, didn't it??????/

OK bonnie lad, set yourself an NSD target for how many you think you can get in August and report them in for Mistress Spoon, The Great Guardian of the NSD Thread to record

Looking forward to your recipes and you can slag Manure off anytime - me & Mr 3Dogs are Sunderland Fans for our sins

One of my friends is a Sunderland fan. Hates Newcastle for some reason! Ex police inspector, but I know your paths will never have crossed! :D

I was sure I was going to like you, keeping a garage full of mechanics entranced by your beauty. If you'd have said 'I'm not all that keen on football actually' - that would have been enough.
Where can you buy Paton & Baldwins 3-ply dirt cheap?
Are you good at darning socks?

If your children grow up Yeovil Town supporters, you can be proud. Hardly any kids support local clubs, they just pick the team of the moment Chelsea, Manure etc even though they live miles away and have no connection.

Manure's biggest fan-base is in Ethiopia and Greenland, and I've heard there's a small branch on the moon. They get a good view of every match, but it is a strain on the eyes.
