Poopy boy needed nappies today so an ickle spend - but he has also stabbed the leather sofa with a pair of nail scissors so feel a big spend coming if I can't find the insurance papers (grrrr)Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
Emergency fund £1000/£1000
Savings for big things £90170 -
That's a wise thought soma. My problem is that I always seem to go food shopping when I'm hungry. So impulse purchases feature a lot.

Melton Mowbray pork pies are very enticing.
I have a thing about pork pies too when I go shopping - what on earth is that all about? Even if I'm not starving I often fancy one, though have to ration myself to only eating small bits at a time as they are soooo full of fat.Just don't go out. The most effective way to a NSD known to man (and woman).
...expect for us internet shoppers! :rotfl:I like watching that tv programme $pend4ho!ics & one lady on there kept her take away cup from a flash coffee shop, but made her own coffee to put in it at home to take out with her; she said it made her think she was still having her daily fix
And you could perhaps buy a pack of croissant in your weekly shop & freeze some, just taking one out of an evening to defrost for the next day?
Ohhh I love that programme, I know exactly the one you are talking about too. I love Bank of Mum and Dad too. Thing is I watch them then think...well my spending isn't nearly as bad as that so I think I'll go shopping...I'm thinking that might not be the point of the programme?? :rotfl:
Anyway, declaring NSD #5 WHOOOO that's me over half way through my target now :T will be a small spend day tomorrow as we need bread but amazed that I am up to 5 already. Just shows what a bit of planning can do.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Number 4 for me today!:j
Walked straight past every shop I passed and didn't spend anything apart from the £14 on ink for work (which doesn't count).
Will probably be a spendy day tomorrow (seem to be able to do every other at the moment) as I have an appointment at the bank so will need parking money (if I can't find a free space) and will pop into FF to get 4 cans of Diet Pepsi for £1 if they have them.
Other than that nothing planned moneywise.0 -
well i dont know whether today was a NSD or not, as i "borrowed" £10 outta the pot, that OH put in, for a takeout
well i did have ninja class last night so very achey and tired, i also put 2 coats on the H/S/L, so i have been up and down the ladders all day, and i took thing 3 for her drowning lesson
so as it was originally his money can i claim a NSD ???If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

Going to read through the posts I've missed now - the thread always cheers me up!

Good luck with the builder tomorrow and fingers crossed for an NSD as well:)
Aww Spoon thank you for the encouragement, it really does help so much. Feeling a bit
today as was yet another spend day due to the fact that i had to get some nails to do the last bit of boxing in before the plasterer comes. Have to keep reminding myself that tomorrow was planned to be a spend day as i needed to get some groceries for when my dad comes up at the weekend, but i did that today, so really i haven't had an extra spend day, i've just moved it... doesn't help tho when i'm feeling that i'm going backwards instead of making progress
Right sorry for the rant, the good news is that the builder was amazing, finished the whole job in one day, charged me much less than i expected to pay & the new layout of the kitchen diner looks amazing :j
Everytime i feel so tired of DIY that i could cry i just have to look at it & i know that it will convince me that the finished job will be soooo worth it!! :THi everyone,
