Any small private garage like that is worth its weight in gold.
I have one like that - found by recommendations from DH's new drinking buddies a few months after we moved here. Before then I used a H@lfords - everyone said that this type of place is baaaad, but I found them great!! I know they were surprised to deal with a female who would question them and ask 'to see', so I guess that may have had something to do with it.....
This NSD lark. Isn't the idea to buy today everything that you need for the next x days? If your planning's good they will soon mount up. Is that the way to go?
That's the way I try and work, which is why I've had to go back to meal planning :)

    Morning all,

Yesterday was NSD 5 for me. We have relatives visiting for lunch, goin to pizza express with 2 for 1 voucher, then I'm working a late shift so will require an emergency chocolate bar so it'll be a spend day today. Aiming for a NSD tomorrow.

Now at 5 NSDs but today will be a spend day need to go to Farmfoods to get milk and bread, and put on the Lotto and pay the Wheelie Bucket cleaner, but I've got 10 pounds in my purse and I won't be spending any more than that, hoping for NSD tomorrow. Good luck to everyone else, have a nice day x

Yup and if you're planning it, it's more likely to be a useful purchase rather than an impulse purchase.

    Morning all!
Hoping for a NSD today - I need to buy ink for the printer but this is a work purchase so won't be counted.
As long as I don't spend anything else I'll get no 4 - determined!

It also helps if you're pretty. They would spend all day answering your questions if you were/as you are. :)

That's a wise thought soma. My problem is that I always seem to go food shopping when I'm hungry. So impulse purchases feature a lot. :(

Declaring today as NSD - no 6 :j, this way I HAVE to keep it!

Should have had a NSD yesterday, but took friend hospital for eye appointment. On our way home, we popped into a garden centre
(bad, bad, bad!!!) and got a few plants for the front garden . At the moment there is very little colour, so a few bright dahlias and echinaceas will really brighten the place up....and they were all reduced...does that count??!! I will get them planted today...hope to spilt the echinaceas so I get more plants...and next spring I will hopefully be able to propagate more of the dahlias. Last winter killed all my dahlias, as well as a lot of my flowering shrubs, so replacing them has always been on the cards.

Just listen to me trying to justify the spend!! In the past I would have spent way much more and not thought twice!! So this NSD and GC challenge is really working and making me think much more about my spending....and not just about the food stuff.

Right have to get off this 'puter and head out into the garden...a bit more weeding to finish before getting these plants in...then loads of watering before I set off to work...there's a meeting this afternoon...may have to go to it as well.

Have a great day everyone....a lovely day here!!
