:rotfl: is it wrong that I actually sung that aloud LfV? :rotfl:
BTW if Norton is bugging you, try downloading Microsoft Security Essentials its free and you can turn off the annoying messages
So wrong it just has to be right! Can't........get...........it.....out........of....my...........head (oh no, I feel a Kylie Minogue sing-a-long is imminent)
I've just realised I can turn the messages off but to be honest I find it quite reassuring that I'm being told that something is trying to hack me off (that doesn't sound quite right does itbut the pun was intended
)...........oh.........there's another one
See you tomorrowLife is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

Great loss 3Dogs.
Can I please ask how Ann is?
I spoke to Mouseann on the phone today and she is doing fine - her hip is healing well and they will consider a hip replacement at a later date - she has decided to be discharged to her own home, rather than her son's, and should be home in about a week if physio OK - she must learn to use stairs befre they let her out. She has a downstairs cloakroom, so will be able to spend daytime downstairs and wll have carer to help her up the stairs at night and down the stairs in morning. She said she really enjoyed our visit on Friday (me, Mr 3Dogs & SW) and thankd everyone for their support and good wishes. She can't wait to get home now and of course she will have access to the internet then so will be back online chatting to us
Mistress Spoon, I did go to the dentist for a check-up but needed a filling. However, we get Help with Health costs so knew what I would have to pay (£13.86) and had put that money aside - making today NSD NUMBER 6
We called in at the auction when in town and saw a chair we liked so are going to the sale tomorrow morning - will have to see whether I make my planned NSD or not !!Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Nargleblast wrote: »As forecast, I spent some cash today. Had a service recall letter on my car as a number have been found with a fault in the parking brake system, so had to take it to dealers to get reprogrammed free of charge. Kind folks at the dealers then did a free "health check" and came up with over £900-worth of work that they think should be done. These same dealers once advised me a couple of years ago that my brakes were corroded, but when I took it to the garage I used to use, they showed me the tons of muck they scraped off, revealing perfectly good brakes underneath! So naturally I will be taking it to my current garage chap in the next village for a second opinion - he has always played straight with me and done a good job for reasonable prices.+
Any small private garage like that is worth its weight in gold. Years ago I took my car in for one of these £99.99 all-in services at the dealers and it eventually cost over £500. A series of phone calls - I recommend this, and while we are doing it we should really, and the tread is rather low, and the life of blahblahblah is likely to be short and so on. Rip off. Fortunate to get a recommendation from a friend for a local firm, and I've never looked back. So honest.
This NSD lark. Isn't the idea to buy today everything that you need for the next x days? If your planning's good they will soon mount up. Is that the way to go?0 -
Morning all - made it #6 yesterday, organisation is a wonderful thing!:rotfl:Going for #7 today, rolls made up, fruit in a box, yogurt in tub already for the off! No money being taken other than train fare ( I dont count fares to work as spends).
Had a relaxing evening last night, did a bit of knitting, I need to get a move on as the baby is due in two weeks:eek: I've already got one cardi finished as you know so if I dont manage it with the second I'll just get some baby goodies to go with it.
Will check back later,
Have a great day everyone:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
