Hi Guy's , i know slightly off topic, but wonder if you great guys, could help me out, have a very old (she's not old, but we've been friends for a long time) Havent spoken to her in a year as our teenage daughters had a row when i had her children staying at mine, so i put her children on the train home a day early. We havent spoken since, no crossed words or anything, anyway she is getting married at the end of this month and im thinking (its been nagging at me) that i should write her a letter.
But i just havent got a clur how to start it off, or what to say?????
Any idea's anyone, Thanks in advance

    Love to all.......................

Urgh always hard when your kids fall out! I agree with Nargle - a nice card wishing them well and maybe the suggestion of meeting up for a coffee (you can bet your life that your daughters have probably forgotten the row too!).

I always think life is too short and if you still want to be friends then just go for it.

Out of interest, do any of you find you spend more or less when you have a spendy day after a NSD? Or do you tend to stick to what you budgeted to spend?

Personally, I think I am thinking more about what I spend on a spendy day as I have to plan a little better - but I'm yet to see whether I'm saving any more above and beyond my budget - guess I won't really see this month after I pay for my alloys to be de-scuffed...
I definitely think before I buy now :oAs someone else said [sorry; phone rung with a stoopid tele-sales ] I no longer run to the shop when we're about to use the last of something & for that odd 'pint of milk' to then cost me upwards of a tenner :D My store cupboard is thinning out as is the contents of the freezer in readiness to stock up with fresh supplies, as I improvise with what I've already got. I also find that having to t-h-i-n-k about my purchases in advance concentrates my mind & several times I realised I didn't need X, Y or Z after all :T
Even on my spendy days, I now consider each purchase & try to research best prices before leaving the house if possible. For example, I knew I would be in a town with a 99p shop but I looked in a couple of others on the way to their store, found some good deals & probably saved about £1:50. Not much perhaps but certainly covered the car park, & "every little helps"--to quote someone or other ;)

....Stupid weather, it was hissing it down this morning when we left the house....by the time we got to the park it was glorious sunshine and there's me and OH in waterproofs sweltering....
Tew bee buddit :( Weeb awl gud toldz im are dozes sick2.gifOur rain lately is that awful pre-stormy stuff that does little to refresh the air & leaves you feeling clammy anyway, without suffering a feverish summer cold. Not complaining too loudly though as it has helped me get my next nsd [no 6 :j] & today is looking hopeful too, but I'm tempted to get some new bedding from an on line shop that has some good prices.....

I use vetuk for cheap frontline and drontal. There's lots of others around too. I occasioanally get worming tablets from the vets as I think they may be a bit better than drontal but they are around a fiver each!

Thanks Soma - i'll add that to my favourites (I got enough dog stuff for 9 months and cats for 3 months so will stock up after that)

I nearly fainted in the vets £75 later!

    Hi everyone!

Had to make a trip into town and had to pay for parking :( and then a subway coz I figured I'd already blown it :rotfl: so today is not number 3 - but tomorrow will be, it will, it really, really will :)!

Was not impressed getting stuck in traffic for an hour on the way home either - stupid council deciding to dig the main road up and close lanes and contraflows etc. Its Cornwall in August you muppets  *deep breath* lol
