Hi Spoon & everyone,
I was supposed to go to my sister's today but put it off until tomorrow because of the rain! I didn't quite achieve a NSD as my electric needed topping up but that's all I spent so I suppose it's a half NSD:o.
Sister's tomorrow, Friday I've got to take my car to the mechanic and Saturday pick it up so it looks like my next NSD won't be until Sunday or Monday:(. I will do my best tho!
Hope everyone has had a good day.I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Good luck with the move Shoe_Gal
Good to hear from you Kathy and your day back at work - it is the funny little things that get you, like leaving a little bit of food on your plate to give to doggies and then realising they're not there to have it. 5 years ago, one of my dogs, a tiny hairy black terrier, was killed by an English Bull Terrier when I had him on his lead with our other dog, and the next morning I woke up (well to tell the truth I did not sleep) and he was not in-between our pillows where he always slept. Bonnie, who we still have, came up from the bottom of the bed and sniffed around as if to say 'where is he?' It does take a very long time to get over but, for me, having other dogs helps - we normally have a couple but after Billy was killed I said that I would only have one from now on as I felt safer with just one if other dogs were about
But, a few months later, a friend's Jack Russel had pups and we succumbed - that's our Bess. And then almost 2 years ago we got Billy who was rescued off the streets in a storm by a friend - aged about 5 months, now 2 and manic but we would not be without them
So that's us Mr & Mrs 3 Dogs and this is them - our 3 doggies:
Do you feel up to posting a pic of your Orphan Boy on here Kathy -we'd love to see him -and share him with you
What I am trying to say, Kathy, is don't be afraid of getting another dog - don't feel as if you are betraying his memory -just think of the great life you could give another pouch looking for their Mammy to come along and find them
Back to business, Mistress Spoon, as I report NSD number 2 - I did not get up till 11.30 am  and have not been out all day. Should be the same tomorrow - an NSD I mean, not such a lie-inMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

aw 3dogs, you've set me off again, and I agree, the rescue centres are overflowing with poor wee souls looking for homes, our much loved last pooch was a rescue and wasn't he a delight. I know its soon Kathy but it does help, I just couldn't stand the emptiness when I came in, no one to talk to, no one to say hello, it was awful. and it isn't betrayal of Orphan, its something you would do in his memory, cos what do you think he's say if you asked him?

I have a choice of reindeers or robins in the fleece variety, or some rather slinky ones in mock satin (except the straps don't stay on my shoulders too well on these!) with matching dressing gown
Lost my NSD today......... but it was well worth it :T
Yesterday I spotted a looooooaaaad of Almond, Raisin and Cranberry G0 Ahe@d bars in the reduced section on yesterdays date - reduced from £2.14 to £1.19. Suspected that unless they were vastly reduced last night they'd be in the canteen/staff shop at a silly low price today, so the first thing I did on getting to work was check the sale table in there - nothing, so thought they must have gone.
But just before I knocked off I spotted they were still in the reduced section at £1.19, so I pulled a manager over as I was on my way to clock out and asked if they should still be there (knowing full well they shouldn't be)
He then called the chap in charge of that section over, told him to remove them, and gave him permission to reduce to said silly price and put them in the staff shop.
So having clocked out I hung around until he appeared with them, and I've come home with 10 packs at 9p each :T :T
Since I started my running I've been having a bar (different makes/flavours/styles) each break at work (2 Mon & Tues, 1 Wed, Thur & Fri), so have made a serious dent into the supply I had from when S/flds closed last year (for the Mr M takeover/rebranding) and what I've had in from App F00ds....... but I now have enough for one break short of another 13 weeks (during which time I have a full week plus one Fri and 2 Mondays off work, so 12 left for week 14 and the first part of week 15)
I've also put some pennies to one side for a possible purchase tomorrow. We have a new 'featured flavour' loaf (Sweet Chilli and Mango), which there were two of going into reductions tonight. But as I was heading up to the gym for my first spin class (now have wobbly legs and a numb bum!) I wasn't going to be able to get to the store for final reductions. So I had a quick word with the lady doing the close and clean shift when she arrived to take over from me, and if there was one left at store close time (8pm, when she bags and records the waste) she agreed to put it to one side marked as for me to collect (and pay for at the final reduced price) tomorrowCheryl0 -
Proud to announce NDS #2 today (must update signature)
I love beans - great with jacket spuds and cheese. Branston are really nice, and almost as cheap as value ones if you locate a pack of 4 on an offer for £1 (often found in Tesco and Asda). Currently have Crosse and Blackwell - 4 for £1 in Iceland.
As for Smart Price rice...try it with some Smart Price Pasatta - makes a great base for a comfort dinner - chuck in some sasuage or bacon and mix in some peas or any other veg in the freezer. Proper comfort, eat in a bowl with a fork type food. Make a big batch and freeze some portions.
Kath - glad you are feeling a bit better today - just take it a day at a time, and NEVER let anyone say 'he was only a dog'
Jinty - glad your two are feeling a bit better, it's amazing how they can have such sensitive tums when they spend so much time licking their bottoms! :rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
