Thinking aloud again folks..what about opening a savings a/c & putting that £35 a month into that? Of course it would take a lot of determination to not dip into the pot for anything other than intended but with the scary Benefits rejig on the cards, I think it's something we all need to consider
[/QUOTE]
Thanks BigMumma, funnily enough that's what we thought we'd do, I agree with PDD'S thoughts also re the people who are making big bucks out of selling these policies.
It was the IFA we use through work that arranged this for us, OH had to fill in a form that would put a qualified doctor to shame and then have two phone interviews with the company's nurse. Of course the cover excludes him from any back injury cos he works in construction, any heart disease as his Dad has had heart probs in the past, any balance issues cos he had labrynthitis, oh, and any knee injury cos he fell when he was six and scraped his knee and needed an elastoplast and a bit of a sitdown. (OK, the last bit was a lie but you get my gist)
We have 30days to cancel, which we are going to do ,but I know Im going to get stick from the IFA, dreading that, but it's our money after all. By the way the IFA commission on this is @ £700!!!!
