pure dead dopey: hope the cup of tea cheered you up?
I think Keiss is coming to our do in the shed, better make sure you keep Hubert away from her chocolate brownies or jinty will have more than enough compost for the rest of her life:rotfl:
Fingers crossed for tomorrow:)
LuckyBiscuit: oh dear to spending today:(:(, hope it wasn’t too painful

nzseries1: oh dear to falling off the bandwagon, you were doing really well. Never mind, there’s always next month;)
Tamrin: will leave you at 10 then and award you the tropical island when you go over your target. Hope your bathroom painting goes well:)
BDINI: thanks for confessing, will put you back to 9 now:). I think I've just found the venue for our next outing - an observatory, yay... always wanted to go to one of those:D:D:D
Hi Keiss
I've just asked jinty which day is best for her, which one is best for you?
xWell, as promised here's sweets for everyone who managed an NSD this weekend!
Keiss 21:):) Thanks nzseries...jammy rugby match on Saturday against the Springboks!!!
pure_dead_dopey wrote: »ooooh an observatory, very posh keiss, the aliens will be delighted to give a wee presentation on their journey here, as long as they don't get to the punch first, then they will just make it up, fancy that?
do you have a compost heap too, Hubert will be happy to contribute.
As to compost bins....I have five!!
Just cutting up the latest batch of choc & beetroot brownies....DS2 is taking some down to the rugby tournament in Truro tomorrow, can't see anything coming back...so he is only getting half of it!! I can see him making lots of friends!!
Right, I have made a note of the Obsy Party on the 11th...hope you can come. If it gets a bit cramped...there are four more sheds and a greenhouse to move into. If anyone wants some of my excess courgettes and beans...they are happy to take away what they want!! Don't think the sweetcorn will be ready by then, but there are plenty of tomatoes, chillies and peppers too...not forgetting the raspberries and greengages!!
Yup, the rest of the garden may be a mess, but the veggie plot is fantastic!
Oh by the way spoon...have picked up NSD no 14 today :j:j
Definitely spending tomorrow as we are on our last 4 pints of milk. Mind you, both DS1 and DS2 are off tomorrow...so two whole days just DH and me...bliss, but odd!!!

losingpatience wrote: »Well we were called in to the hospital today so £2.20 spent on parking there and now definitely going to have to get petrol. OH is going in for the biopsy next week, there's alot more to it then we thought but he's going to be in hospital for 3 - 4 days then will need 2 weeks off work afterwards. Now panicking about money as he's already had alot of time off over the last year because of all this and not sure if work will continue to pay him as they already paid him full pay for the whole time he was off when they only pay for 28 days in general. If they don't pay him then things are going to be tough, especially as I'll have to take unpaid leave as well to drive him down to Birmingham for his treatment there.
SSP is a pittance as well. It really annoys me that we should have to be worrying about money when he's ill, we're hard working people that pay our tax and NI yet SSP is only £79.15 a week, there's no way we'll be able to get by for long on that kind of money.
Gah! whinge over
LP - sorry to hear about your OH - hope all works out well for him. I can totally sympathise with you re the money side of things - my OH doesnt get paid at all when off sick. He was off for ten days back in May (this only time hes been off in about 30yrs I may add), and the loss of that money really set us back. We've looked into sickness cover, and the best we could find costs £35 pm and only kicks in if he's off for 8 weeks - not really worth it.
It's horrible worrying about money, when all you want is to focus on supporting your OH! Fingers crossed his work come through for you.
Dont worry about ranting, we're all here to help each other!:)

Good moring all!
NZ - thanks for the sweets - how did you know they were my favourite!;)
As predicted - yesterday was a spend day, but not too horrific.
The show last night was absolutely wonderful - if you are in Edinburgh try to catch it before it finishes at the weekend - Reel To Real. Its all songs from films and fabulous dancing. I reckon this will get snapped up and end up in London, its that good!:T
Today I'm having a day in the house, I've done my ironing so Im going to catch up on some telly Ive recorded and do my knitting.
My neighbours had a wee girl, so the pink cardi it is. Im doing a hat to go with it. I'll see the baby at the weekend, dont want to intrude atm as all the new grandparents are there!
It's not very nice weather -wise here today so Im happy to sofa today!
Have a lovely day everyone:)
