Thanks guys, unfortunately it will be broken today as I have an 'old mother hubbard' situation going on. So I will have to get a few things bread etc. I thought I was doing well having cut my shopping bills down from approx £130pw to £80 but having read forum threads I need to cut about another £30 off it *big sigh* but I am determined that I can do that, ds will have to get used to the new regime. How can you 'fill up' a 16 yr old cheaply he seems to continually be looking for food!!!!

Not sure about the nutrition levels, but have you considered putting him out in the garden to graze? Save you money on the food AND get your grass cut at the same time :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Don't you marvel at the wisdom of some tv reporters hair.gif There was one on there this morning who carefully explained that prices have risen faster this year than at any other time, but wages have not kept up. And do you know? I couldn't believe it until he said so it must be true, that this means folk have less money to spend in the shops. Now..isn't that amazing..I'm so glad he told me cuz I couldn't work it out for myself dozey.gif

Yes, I saw that too BMF- glad I wasnt the only one to feel just a tad patronised! Must have been a slow news day! I find that Breakfast telly is are quite good at totally depressing you first thing in the morning:mad: OH has it on before he leaves for work at 6.15, then I switch it off, I like living in my wee bubble!;)

    Hi to everyone else

In the middle of a NSD, eating my packed lunch ATM.
Trying to recover from my BIG spends yesterday! Our day with inlaws was ok, came home though under pressure to have some kind of "do" for OH's 50th next month. OH is not fussed, he thinks it's just another day . We are off work for his birthday,so we were just planning to go out for a nice lunch ourselves. We cant really afford or have the space to do anything lavish. Bearing in mind that none of his rellies usually bother even sending a card, I dont see why we should cough up to do something we dont really want to do.
    I'd appreciate any thoughts - am I being a total meanie?:o

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

No 13  for me today, been working like a demented soul today so no time to even think about spending money, never mind actually doing it. Need to pop out for a couple of things tomorrow morning though, so I’m destined to stay on 13 until Wednesday unfortunately:(

Off to do the usual update now, see you all tomorrow.

Well the car wasn't as dear as thought, so that was good news today. Hoping for a NSD tomorrow!
