....the only issue was having to use carrier bags (which hurt my hands) rather than canvas bags that I couldn't have carried on the run.....
What about a back pack--need only be a kiddies one just big enough to hold a bottle of water & your canvas bags? I take one out when I'm with Pup & it holds the doo-doo bags, bottle of water [an empty squash bottle filled from the tap at home I hasten to add. Pooch is rather spoiled but not THAT precocious :D] & a foldie-uppie bowl for him, some of that sanitising hand stuff, tissues & inhaler for me, treats *for him & some peppermints for me :shhh: * a purse with some spare change & a couple of carrier bags in case I see something while I'm out. That's not so often now our wonderful pet shop has closed :(--he used to sell wonderful veg from local allotment holders at really good prices & was such a nice guy too. Damn this recession

Don't you marvel at the wisdom of some tv reporters hair.gif There was one on there this morning who carefully explained that prices have risen faster this year than at any other time, but wages have not kept up. And do you know? I couldn't believe it until he said so it must be true, that this means folk have less money to spend in the shops. Now..isn't that amazing..I'm so glad he told me cuz I couldn't work it out for myself dozey.gif

Some :j tho, I've just this minute got a confirmation text to say my PAYG tariff has been switched to a Lite User & my calls will be 8ppmin & texts 4p each..geddinnthaaiirrrrr *does Elvis bended knee side thump thingie but refrains from lifting bottom of t-shirt over head & running around lounge cuz next door's builder is right outside the window! *

No nsd for me yesterday but my cold is taking its usual route so I won't be going very far today. Hope you're having a better day than I folks :o

I am a newbie on this site which is proving to be very helpful in giving me confidence to face up to my problems, although I have not joined this challenge officially I am trying it and I would like to report 4 consecutive NSD's and I feel pretty proud.

Welcome crisispoint and well done on your NSD so far :j

Its a spend day today need to get shopping it'll be another one tomorrow booster time for his lordship
  • NSD 5 for me yest. need to buy stamps for job applications today so will be having a little spend day x
  • Thanks guys, unfortunately it will be broken today as I have an 'old mother hubbard' situation going on. So I will have to get a few things bread etc. I thought I was doing well having cut my shopping bills down from approx £130pw to £80 but having read forum threads I need to cut about another £30 off it *big sigh* but I am determined that I can do that, ds will have to get used to the new regime. How can you 'fill up' a 16 yr old cheaply he seems to continually be looking for food!!!!

  • Afternoon all

If possible I'd like to join for the rest of the month please? With 15 days left including today I'm going to aim for 7 NSD as I haven't done this before and don't know what's feesable for me so I *think* 7 will be doable and anything over that is a bonus.

Today should be a NSD as I don't need anything and won't be going anywhere to spend money! I'm guessing I report back tomorrow as to whether today was a NSD or not?
Going to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!

Got married to my lovely hubby on 12/11/2011 :D
