I loved Greenwich when I was in London (lived in Rotherhithe) but that road is chronic for parking and is completely swamped by tourists all summer! I'd rather Blackheath at that sort of money!0

You can probably get a very similar house, at about the same price, within commuting distance of London .... in fact, possibly even a nicer house for the money. And proper wages, to pay for it. Employers are so cheeky with wages down here "lucky to have a job .... people come here for the lifestyle"..... I always wondered where the lifestyle was if you couldn't afford to walk out the front door...
Maybe you could also mention in the details, how close the Gannel is, taking the shortest route over the roundabout, then first left and down through the paths. And a nice Gannel photo... perhaps at the time of day when the horses are going past. Spot of lifestyle dreaming never hurts.0 -

One of those is basically Blackheath. the SE10 postcode goes right up to the edge of the Heath...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Hi! I grew up in Newquay, have a friend that lives just around the corner from you and my brother lives in Pentire.
I'm sorry to say but part of the reason you may not have sold could be because it's along Mount Wise which was a pita when it was one way, but now it's 2-way it's a bloomin' nightmare traffic wise.
Also most families I know that have bought or are looking in Newquay would never look at that road, which is why a lot of your neighbours have been turned into B&Bs etc
Also, with mortgages being harder to get you are out of most first time buyers price range.
Hope you do manage to sell quickly though.

Can't offer any advice but I really like your house."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -
A nice house, though ive been to newquay through work a few times, and it was only to drink..
Bar Help, Central, The Beach, Walkabout, Sailors, On the rocks, Corkers etc..
Oh they were the days.0 -
Resurrecting this thread as I've just spotted on RM that the OP's reduced the price by £5k and organised an open house session/weekend.0

The open house idea is very good. Neutral d!cor is important in such situations however.
It's good to see you're taking an active, almost stalking interest :rotfl:0
