I wouldn't bother just yet, I haven't written anything since this morning! :rotfl: Just off to do a bit of financial jiggling though so will report back in a bit :D Day was perfectly cheery, although a little long and as I've got to do it all over again (with another meeting tagged on straight from work so I'll be out from 7am to 9pm ) I won't be long out of bed I don't think!

well I'm awake thanks to the neighbour beeping their horn at 0640!!!! Not happy, mind you I don't really mind as I love waking up and seeing it get light and haing a cuppa :D

I need to finish what I started yesterday really, the decluttering went well until I sat down and I got somewhat distracted!!! This site has a lot to answer for lol :rotfl:

Have been looking at some more money saving ways and have got some lovely tips off of the OS board, we are going to get a paper log maker for our wood burner, as my nanny saves us her papers every day, going to ask OH's mum to do the same, also definitely going to get a solar light, as most evenings I am just on here if OH is away but I have to have a light on to see the keys, else who knows what i would be typing :rotfl:.

I'm still adament about being able to pay off the debt at the end of november/end of year and still afford Christmas..... that's the difficult bit, Christmas is going to be tough, but if I get my backside into gear I'm sure I can make some bits....... oooh where can I get the absolute cheapest pair of jeans from? I've seen some slippers made out of them and I don't want to spend a fortune on them, and all of mine are too good to cut up and have sold on ebay :o I'm thinking maybe tesco, and if I can get a big size then I get more material..... will have a looksie.

New budget doesn't kick in until December, so going to sneakily stock up on a few bits whilst I'm still getting paid full amount...... although I was after a pasta maker, so that I could make pasta instead of buying it as we have our chook chook eggs. Bit worried about the VAT increase on food, am on a tight enough budget for fussy OH as it is!! I know it is on non essential things etc, but stil!!

First day of diet went well, so hopefully I can keep it up this week, OH comes back on Sunday and I want to look extra specially nice for him :D not that he minds he'd love me if i was the size of a house and wore a binbag, but I don't think that's really a good look:D

Think I'm going to get myself another cuppa if I can steal myself out of bed. sooooo lazy!

Right have had a look through the internet and gone onto the different supermarket websites etc and had a look at Aldi and lidl, and there is a cheap shop near my dads which I can go to. So I am going to try and combine a visit to my dad (usually see him once a week) with going to the cheap shop (QD) and going to Aldi. My step mum is also able to get pork and chicken cheaper, so I will try and go through her for that. And I'm sure there is a place that sells sacks of potatoes for £5 also near where my dad lives.... looks like my dad is going to be the key to my money saving :D

I am going to get my veg from Aldi when it is on offer along with their Powdered milk and any other deals, I am also going to see if I can factor in a trip to Lidl and you've guessed it, that is also not far away from my dad, they do have them here but I would have to make a special journey to get to them, where if I am going to my dads anyway it makes more sense to do it that way.

I have also noticed that frozen stuff seems to be cheaper than fresh, so for fish pie etc, it will be frozen fish and the same with sausages (although not the cheap ones, OH would have a fit:rotfl:) I only freeze them anyway, so it makes sense really.

I am absolutely loving this little adventure, a far cry from the other day when I was all down in the dumps and thought it was unmanagable, but not anymore, I'm resilliant (sp?) if nothing else :D

Excellent news Missy, glad you're a bit cheerier! :D And making some of your presents sounds great, I made all of mine last year and it was fab!

I would probably say 'use what you've got' though rather than trying to buy something new to make things with - otherwise lands up costing anyway :o But if you are after cheap jeans - charity shops! You'll probably be able to get some fairly hideous ones (which won't matter!) for a couple of quid, should make a few pairs of slippers!

(must get my own thinking cap on - used up a lot of my own ideas last year! :rotfl:)

So glad to see you've cheered up again missy. Visiting your Dad and doing the shopping en route is a good idea. That's the concept I was thinking of for the drive to the tutorials. Can you find a reason to be in the tutorial part of town to make you more likely to go?

I agree with Daffs, charity shop for jeans, perferably mens jeans in a huge XL size so you'll have loads of material.
