hello
Thank you all so very much for all my well wishes for my first day.
And do you know what it went wonderfully, usually I hate the first day anywhere, but I haven't had time to even stop and think, I have been so busy so my days have been flying by, everyone seems really nice and I can make tea whenever I like lol. I've managed to bike to work too which has been good, although fighting against the wind today was a bit hairy!!!
Things have been hectic here hence the lack in posts, had an OU assignment to finish on friday, OH is home, it was my birthday yesterday so OH took me away for the weekend so lovely time but I've come back to earth with a bit of a bump as I realised I need to apply for my next 2 OU courses by Thursday, and they are each going to cost £650!!!! So I need to find £1300 in the next week! I thought my old work was going to pay for it, but they cant do it in time, so I need to pay that off and pay up my loan by the time I finish getting paid by the military at the end of November, but then there's christmas so.... aaaahhhh. Going to sit down with a cuppa and work things out.
Speak soon

So glad it is going well, at least the OU is an investment. I'm sure you will do it. People will understand if you don't spend so much at christmas.0

Glad it went ok!
Why don't you sign up for the OUSBA account and pay monthly for your course? Once your funding comes through than you just need to talk to OU and they sort it out for you.

Good Luck!0 -
oh wow ruby, how are you getting on? Nerve wracking isn't it, please come and update us!!!
Well me and OH have been chatting about money (what else!!) and have got the eon energy monitor out. and there is so much we could save on, just by being a bit more careful. Have convinced OH that turning off the TV is a really good idea rather than having it on stand by, and not leaving his toothbrush/mobile phone charger/ computer charger plugged in all the time!!! Atleast he has stopped leaving the tap running whilst brushing his teeth! I have also found that I don't need the shower on full blast, I can manage it just as well on half. Food bills have crept up again, which really needs to come back down, and I need to cook from scratch more, as i know it's a good idea.
I have looked at the open and I can pay one of them off, straight away, I think, and the other I'm really hoping to be able to clear later on. Am adament I will have paid everything off by Christmas, so that I can start saving some money up. I would so love to have some savings!
Hope you're all ok

Hey Missy, those monitors are good arent they, although my monthly dd doesnt match what the monitor says!
Are you in a 3 storey house? A friend had one where the main bedroom is in the top floor so you end up using the electric and heating in the middle floor too!0
