Good Morning All - in the office and need motivation! Still haven't had results from friend's CT scan so have already rung doctor and waiting for call back!! Can someone answer my question from last night "what is shred" that some of you talk about? Strange how so many of us didn't get a good night's sleep - I am lying there worrying about friend and if I should stay with her overnight cos she is not good. Anyways hope you all have a better day than night. Hope one of you can answer my question. Billie x PS Claire lots of comments on my earrings yesterday.:)

    Morning all!

Hosting my first 'dinner party' tonight so quite nervous about that as I have no cooking skills!!

C'mon Sara you must have SOME skills. Can you do stuff that doesn't need to be hot - prawn cocktail, melon, cold desserts etc. and a stroganoff or something that doesn't mind hanging around.

If not, hard boiled eggs and soldiers :D

Oooh! What are you cooking, Sara?

Would the agents not lend you the keys for a couple of hours to go in and measure up?

Worth asking.....at least you could get a head start on some bits then ( knowing what poles/tracks/fittings are at each window would help too)

I think that’s a good idea, Pooky – that’s what we did when we were moving into ours in January. They were fine with it and let us in to measure up for furniture that we were ordering.

has anyone got a memory foam mattress or topper and pillows? I'm thinking of getting one, cause i just cannot get comfortable, and my matress is only just over a year old, was wondering if it would help?

We have memory foam pillows, Claire, but I can't say they have made a massive difference or that either of us sleep any better with them BUT we don't have any neck or back problems so maybe they only make a big difference if you do....Ours were pretty pricey I thought - I think they were £69 for each pillow...we only got them because we had J0hn Lewis vouchers from our wedding.

  • Morning everyone.

    HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Pooky and Sally, sorry to hear you've not had a decent nights sleep, I hate it when that happens.

Sally, are you getting excited about moving into your new place? And I take my hat off to you for having a go at making your own roman blinds.

Jo, yeah that it's pay day! Spend your money wisely!

Sarah, good luck with your dinner party, you will be fine my dear. What are you cooking?

Claire, sorry to hear Nathan had an accident and you're feeling bleurgh. I hope you're not coming down wiht something.

Billie, I hope your friend gets her results back soon.

    Butti, hello.

SRM, enjoy the cuddles with the cats.

Sorry if I've missed anyone off.

I'm in an indifferent mood. I got accused of being bitter for having the same plans for the weekend as I do every weekend and for missing the big cheese!

Oh well, I'd better get on with the reports that I've got to do.

Butti - I have very limited cooking skills, i didnt even know what a bulb of garlic was! lol

Wee_jo - I'm cooking a coconut chicken curry as everyone who is attending has some requirements:
    OH: Coeliac
OH Friend: wants a curry but not too spicy or with too many tomatoes
OH Friend GF: will only eat chicken
Me: on a dairy free diet for 2 weeks - hopefully coconut milk will be ok!

Claire - one of my friends had one as she had back pain while sleeping and she couldnt rate it high enough!
:j *~* 2011 - TRY TO GET CREDIT CARD AS LOW AS POSS BUT STILL HAVE FUN *~* :j
