Water pressure is just below 1.5 (which is just above the green section which it should be when it's cool - only just gone off though)
Seems to be fine this morning. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Am up, showered, breakfasted, face on, just need to dry hair.
Dd is stripping the beds ready for me to remake later on.
Off to the farmer's market this morning, followed by sainsbugs for the lamb. I know it's more expensive than the other supermarkets but i just cannot face M's or Ada's on a Saturday. Just trying to think if we'll pass a real butchers at some point. They are a bit thin on the ground these days. That would be lush though....It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Take a look at it when it goes off. See what it is doing.

Happy Mothers Day to all mothers but in particular to all my single mother friends who are still probably doing everything today just like any other day...

Was in bed by 9.45 last night. Had a migraine that came on around lunchtime but struggled through 101 Dalmations with DD which was good. Found a firgotten about packet of migra1eve in the cupboard but still feeling a bit carp this morning.
DD has been as absolute star. She got up at the crack of dawn as usual and watched TV on low before creeping upstairs with my prezzies at about 8am. I got 3 cards (2 handmade by her), a box of my favourite chocs and a little wall plaque that will hang in the kitchen.
She made me breakfast, I did the tea (I won't let her boil the kettle yet) and she has done the washing up. She's now doing the dusting but has just spoilt things by saying she doesn't want to do it any more
The lamb is in the oven and should be making the house smell gorgeous in about an hour. I still need to prep the veg, tidy up and hoover through. I am still not firing on all cylinders. There is something about Saturdays that gives me a bad head. I may just as well get completely slaughtered every Friday night and at least get some fun out of it.
I'm very excited because I've recorded a rockumentary on Rory Gallagher :j(My new favourite person). Heaven knows when I'll get to watch it but I only found it by chance. There was also a tribute to Les Paul by Jeff Beck (who I have actually met) on afterwards so I recorded that too.
Have a great day everyone :beer:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Just sold a top for £3 on fleabay. There were a number of watchers so hopefully a couple more bids will come in later today.
I have 17 things ending this evening.
Must go and photograph some more stuff to list later. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Hi Polesalot, I've just registered so that I could follow your diary properly. I'm a single mum of three girls and can identify with lots of your posts. I've been reading MSE on and off for ages but haven't ever bothered to comment before!
I really admire your drive. I am a big procrastinator at times and wish I was nearly as productive as you are. I also wish I could be more motivated with exercise as I have membership to a lovely gym that I can find any number of excuses to avoid!
I am going to follow your diary if that's ok!0 -

Thanks Attagirl and welcome  I feel very honoured to be your first post
These diaries are great and are what have inspired me. Most of the ones I follow are single mums and they really are MY inspiration. Life really does throw up different problems when you are a single parent.
Keep reading MSE, I'm having a bad run of luck recently moneywise, but I know I'd be in a hell of a worse position if it wasn't for this forum and all the advice on here. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
A top and a dress sold yesterday (total £8) and they are parcelled up ready to go and another has just sold BIN for £5 so will sort that out later.
£121.82 PAD to barclaycard today made up of my monthly dd (sadly reduced to £120 this month) and roundings.
Just got back from my first run of the week. It really is lovely out there.
Have cancelled Netflix today but didn't get round to watching anything so am unsure as to whether they will pay out the cashback. Anyone know?
I made the most gorgeous slow roasted lamb yesterday. There was enough left over to do a curry with it later on in the week
ETA: My barclaycard payment now takes the balance to less than £1000. That's the first time it has been that and heading in the right direction (downwards...)It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Mine never even tracked so I've submitted an enquiry but have now cancelled the free trial so might not be a successful claim for me...oh well, was worth a try:o
Fab news on the barclaycard balance:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

That is such a nuisance. I've got an ongoing claim with them about a P/O CC - got accepted for the card immediately then it didn't track. They reckon it's now confirmed and they are just waiting for the cashback. I wish it would hurry up!
I've just signed up for both Credit expert and Equifax credit reports - £5 cash back each with qu1dco and one of them has tracked already. I've diarised to cancel on day 29
I shall be joining the 'Make £5 a Day' challenge at this rateIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
