4 runs and a pole class this week so feeling very pleased with myself. I'm at a quiz tonight. It's only a fiver to take part and hopefully I won't have to part with any more because I only have £2 in my purse.
It's amazing how much you can get straightened out in your head whilst going for a run. I have rejigged next month's budget and providing I get the child maintenance I can get the exhaust done sooner rather than later (the end of the month).
I have also factored in some extra money into the petrol account for the tyres and have found a website that does tyres at your place of work. Once I know exactly what tyres I need I will go online and get a quote from them.
I need to whizz off at 5.15 sharp tonight and get the food shop done. I've done my list in the exact order of the shop so should be very quick. It also needs to come in at under £33. I need to be out of the house by 6.50 at the latest and want to get a bath and a quick bite to eat before then too
DD has a school disco tonight and is very excited. Mum is taking and collecting and she will stay at mum and dad's tonight. I'll pick her up tomorrow morning. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
8 years old so I should expect to start spending a bit on it now. It has been so reliable though.
So do you really need a colour coordinated bumper, or can you just get one out of the scrappy?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

No not really, I was thinking that too. I've been checking out other Yarises (?) and I have yet to see one that has a normal black acrylic bumper but I suppose I could just get one from a scrapyard. I'm really not too bothered (not like I can see it from the driver's seat). It is actually way way down on my list of priorities. All I'm concerned about is that the car goes

Food shop came in at £35.62  but I would have been within budget had I not splashed out on a big box of washing powder. That is for everything we need this week though so not too bad going.
We came second in the quiz by one point  damn those One Direction questions....
Got home after midnight and stayed up watching Withnail & I so didn't put my light out till after 2amGot up when I woke up so i don't get a headache and have showered and will have breakfast in a mo. Wanted to be up and semi-decent in case the postman knocks with my Leighton Denny parcel
Am contemplating getting the ironing done before I pick up dd  She wants to go swimming this afternoon which I'm not too keen on because it's such a faff and I don't want to go getting cold and wet at this time of year but we haven't been for ages so I will just grin and bear it.:)It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I've just checked my up-to-date balance at ed.f and although it's in credit there's really not enough to take to cover my shortfall and still have enough to keep the gas and elc bills on track. If bl00dy Quidc0 would only pay out some of the cashback that's tracked I'd be laughing.....
Need to have a rethink
Washing up done, face on and beds stripped. They can air for a few hours whilst we're out. I've updated the bank account and shifted a bit of money around. Ironing has not been done, funny that :rotfl:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Had a lovely time at swimming after all my protestations. It's a fun pool with flumes and a wave machine. We were about to leave when dd spotted my sis and nephew so we stayed an extra 45 minutes. It was good and I'm really glad we went.
Came home starving and had a late lunch (about 3pm) so only had our tea at 8pm
Other spends today:-
£40 petrol (but already accounted for)
£14.96 Sainsbugs (includes a set of M0shi Monsters for dd that she paid me back for, a birthday prezzie for my cousin's son, some groceries I forgot)
£9.40 swimming (no longer a cheap pastime).
I've got all the ironing done so far but there will be more for tomorrow. We are going to my mum and dad's for dinner but will go up a bit early so we can wash the car there. I want to give it a good hoover out first and it's hopeless trying to do it here. The car is never parked outside the house for a start
I might think about listing some stuff on ebay tomorrow. I've taken all the photos and just need to make sure I've got all the details right. DD has just informed me that she has a M0ns00n top that she doesn't like - honestly! That will sell easy as anything. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Ooh forgot to say my Leighton Denny nail polished arrived today :j. I've taken my old polish off and have patched up a couple of splits. I'll wait till tomorrow night before I test them out. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0

And stops. Don't forget the stopping - when that doesn't happen it concerns you much more than not-going ever does... :eek:Food shop came in at £35.62  but I would have been within budget had I not splashed out on a big box of washing powder.
Oh the luxury! We came second in the quiz by one point  damn those One Direction questions....
Let me guess: You selected "They're really crap." instead of the correct "They're exceedingly crap."Wanted to be up and semi-decent in case the postman knocks
Only semi-decent? I take it you get on well with your postie..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Boiler just went on the blink . We had plenty of hot water earlier (I had a shower and dd had a bath which she said was REALLY hot) then I went to fill the sink to do the washing up and it was stone cold . Checked the boiler upstairs and it was doing absolutely zilch. Fiddled about with the controls with the help of the user manual and after a series of mad dashes downstairs to turn on a tap, then rushing back upstairs to see if the boiler had woken up it finally !!!!!! poofed into life and is now working again.
. It would be a lot easier if the boiler was on the same level that we had a tap but it was good exercise
.
I've written down what i did in the manual so if it happens again I can fix it quicker.
I'm still not dressed and my hair is still wet but the morning hasn't been a complete waste. Aside from my capacity as boiler fixerer, I have done a load of washing and hung it up to dry, I've got a loaf in the BM which should be finished very soon and I've written down all the details of the things I want to eBug. I'll list them from my phone later when I'm at mum and dad's (after we've cleaned the car inside and out).
Must crack on now though....dd wants me to curl her hair  and I need to have a quick whizz round and tidy up before we go out. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
