I'm just fed up of not having anything decent (or even half decent) to wear at the weekend.

So you're moving away from indecent? ;)

I can't remember the last time I bought myself any clothes that weren't PJs or underwear :o

I've decided that the other car problem will need to be sorted out PDQ. The mechanic said it's one of those things that could go in 2 weeks or 2 months. I think I'd rather get it done now whilst I have the money rather than leaving it and then costing double.

What is the problem with your car?

Oh no....I still quite like the debauched look, I just don't want to look tatty....;)

Wheel bearing....something. I'm very dense where cars are concerned but I do understand the urgency in getting this done (it could 'go' at any time and wouldn't pass the MOT like it). I really can't complain about this car, it's been so reliable.

I've had hardly any sleep due to this blasted headache :( my nephew got up at 6.30 and bless her my dd has been taking care of him since then and they have been bickering away constantly in the living room ever since.

I feel marginally better since I a) sat up b) had some weetabix and c) took some more painkillers. I' m hoping it's on its way out now. It's more than outstayed its welcome :p

No cooking for me today :j I told dd I would treat her to lunch in town today (it's free parking on a Sunday so makes more sense to go in today :D) We'll have crumpets for our tea.

I've done some of my sister's housework. I've hoovered, cleaned the kitchen and even cleaned the hob _pale__pale_ and cleaned the table and muck from all the chairs. I remember how hard it can be keeping on top of things when you have a toddler and work full time.

She won't notice though, and if she does she won't thank me  I'm quite happy cleaning :) must get out more....

You should use the french word for it - deshabille (I can't use the proper letters as MSE thinks anything foreign is rude... )

It does makes it sound so much more respectable... ;)

I think the urgency is more having the wheel concerned making an entirely different journey to the rest of the car. A bit like you and your luggage when you fly.

You shouldn't say things like that. It'll make you incredibly popular...

I know the one you mean - A-level french coming back to me (probably the reason I only got an E was because I was 'deshabille' most of the time.... and not attending the classes)

It seems to have been a bit of a weekend for spending money on myself :T. Treated myself to 3 nail varnishes and some nice handcream. I was very MSE though and the nail varnishes had £1 off and I paid with my Boots points so it didn't feel like real money. One of them was a crackle effect so I'm looking forward to trying that out.

Bought DD some stuff to stop her biting her nails.

    £1.33 PAD to barclaycard :)

I've shifted some money over to my emergency account to pay for the work that needs to be done on the car. This is quite a breakthrough for me. Usually any work that needs doing on the car would have sent me straught into the overdraft :o. I must be doing something right :)

A dress I had on ebay which looked awful in the photos (but actually looks very nice on) has now got 2 watchers and one bid :T. Just as well because I am going to need that money this month.

I *think* I will get my last child tax credit on Friday too. It isn't very much but will actually come in handy this month - should tide me over until the next lot of maintenance goes in :rotfl:

Lots to get done tonight - a bit of ironing, school shoes to be cleaned, school admin - various demands for money and forms to be filled in, nails to be painted, ebay sale to parcel up, chocs to be munched, sofas to be lounged on......

3 squid to go in the Hedgehog :)

Ooh and Superscrimpers is on....let's all laugh at the stupid family :rotfl:

Made the mistake of watching the Leighton Denny hour on QVC last night. Before I knew what was happening I had bought 2 nail polishes

I have got to buck my ideas up though. I've just been working out next month's money. It's quite a long school term so the ASC will need paying, plus we're back to paying council tax and not sure what that's going to be, there's 5 weeks so that will be extra going into the grocery account and this is all before I've paid for Mother's Day

I think I will start listing all dd's old summer clothes as it might be a good time to start selling them (and not just for my bank account:cool:) they are taking up room in the bottom of my wardrobe.

If Quidc0 would only pay up some of my cashback I'd be laughing :rotfl:

Buyer as paid for the jumper dress so I will send that off tomorrow. I think today might be the last dry day we get this week so I would rather go for a run :)

No PAD today for all of the above reasons :o

Mt car goes in for its second op on Thursday.....
