Good evening to anyone still reading...
Another quiet day at work so I was [STRIKE]worrying[/STRIKE] pondering over next month's finances again. I was just trying to think of ways to claw back a bit of spare cash just so I'm not completely strapped after all essentials have been taken out. It suddenly occurred to me that as I have so much to pay for ASC fees I could pay less (or absolutely zero) into the holiday account and make it up the following month when I won't have any ASC fees to payDuh!
So, for the first time ever I have been planning on what money I have got to pay out for future months and tweaking it to suit me. I have done up to May so far. I am still keeping on track with the CC repayments (really don't want to reduce this from the £200 that i have been paying) and holiday account. If all goes to plan the holiday will be paid off by end of May and the credit card by end of June when the 0% rate runs out.
I am planning all this without taking into account any maintenance that I might get.
I think this weekend might be a good time to list all DD's old summer clothes on ebay. There's quite a lot of nice stuff so should sell quite easily.
Teeny weeny PAD of just 8p today but it's still a PAD
£12.55 on OnePoll. I keep getting screened out :mad:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Good evening to anyone still reading...
Still here...just not being the most active poster recently:o:o Losing interest in my diary, I post on the 'small things' thread every day but that's about my limit right now;)
I must dig out Spring stuff to ebay soon too...if I can muster up the enthusiasm!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
My car is going to be £328 (at least
). I feel like crying. Actually I did have to have a bit of a cry in the loos.....
The wheel bearing comes as a complete unit with the ABS system and the whole lot needs to be replaced.
I'm so p1ssed off. I could understand if we frittered our money away. DD and I have virtually no treats and now this happens. I also got completely hacked off with people at work saying 'well it's the same for everyone'. No it's not the effing same for everyone - I don't shop in wa1trose or have horseriding lessons or have an OH who's at home doing nothing :mad::mad: I'm working full time and trying to keep our heads above water but it just feels like I'm treading water all the time and now this.
I have £150 towards it already. I need to find another £178. Good job I like a challenge.......It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
£80 clawed back by reducing this month's CC payment.
£98 to go....It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Hey Poles,
Don't worry about the others, a little dig round and you would probably find they are living beyond their means, OH at home is proabably spending like there is no tomorrow.
DD will understand no money for treats but at least you have each other, and a really good relationship
Stupidly I managed to pay one of my cc twice last month, and that has left us a bit tight, oh who am i kidding absolutely brassic would be a better description :rotfl:
Everyday is a challenge, at least you didn't just think bung it on the card will sort it later

Thanks freshair, you are absolutely right. I know if I hadn't started getting my backside into gear 6 months ago I would be in a real state with this now.
Get you paying your cc twice - Think of it as one month less to pay at the end
Now, if I could just find that elusive £98....It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
put paying cc down to momentary brain fade, because i don't always pay them all at the beginning of the month so i know they have been done!
the elusive will turn up, its just hiding for now probably somewhere safe so you wouldn't loose itJan 13/15 Feb 16/15 March 19/20 April 17/15:D May 0/17

Total bill for the car for today* was £319.20 so £9 less than I thought. Including the money in my current account and the £230 I have already managed to find I am now just £79.20 short (or £79.20 into my overdraft).
So, i thought I would try to get some money back from ed.f as my account seems to be in credit. When I rang them though the lady i spoke to (who was actually really helpful) said that there was a query against my electric reading. It had actually been taken by a proper meter reader back in January and on looking into it the stupid fool has given the day and night readings the wrong way round  The lady is going to give me a call back tomorrow and I can give her the up to date readings then. Hopefully I can get them to send me some money back to make up the shortfall.
* of course this is only the start. My exhaust has been clipped back into place but it is only going to last about 2 months maximum. There are 2 parts that need to be replaced and the mechanic got the total cost for me including labour and VAT - £210  It will also need 2 new tyres before the end of June. This is all going to have to be factored into my outgoings over the next couple of months.
Also (there's more) as I clipped the bumper back in the summer that will need to be replaced. They have said that I might just as well wait until it falls off because it's not going to affect how the car drives. But (there's always a but) it has to be specially made and colour-coded so that is going to be 'a few hundred pounds' too. The money for that will have to wait until I've paid the CC** off.
**this has now been thrown off schedule by I don't know how long.....
I did however manage to make a PAD today of £2.52 before the mucky stuff hit the fan so my day wasn't a total washoutIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
