Well Poles, I take it that you are having a lovely day as you have been quiet. Hope the meringues are going down well and that you lost the nerves!

The pavlova turned out fine (and I didn't think it would because I was sure I'd got egg yolk mixed in with the whites :o). It was so easy and even my oven didn't let me down :) I whipped up some double cream and added maltesers and strawberries and it was bl**dy gorgeous, even if I who says it shouldn't ;) I think this may become one of my signature dishes.

'Date' went fine. He brought me a bottle of JD (which is my favourite tipple) and he'd remembered that from when I met him at a wedding back in January! He also brought some sweets for DD which I thought was really nice.

After DD had gone to bed we just stayed up talking - we have loads in common music wise (I do like my music) and he mentioned about taking me to some blues clubs and other gigs and also asked how easy it was for me to get a babysitter so am thinking some proper dates could be on the cards. He finally left about 12.30am!

I remember someone saying once that if something is meant to be then it won't be hard work and now I realise what they were talking about. In the past I have always felt twitchy about things, should I/shouldn't I text/call someone - here I feel completely at ease.

    So, a good start I think :)

So glad the date went well. The pavlova sounds divine. It was really nice of him to bring sweets for your daughter too. Have you told him that poledancing is your hobby? ;)

I have pinched this from Cherisong (who in turn I think pinched it from someone else ;)). It's a list of all the things you have managed to achieve during the day. It's better than having a 'To Do List' that you look at at the end of the day and find you haven't achieved hardly anything :)

its as in the little song TADA!!!!!!!!!! You know the kind that kids do and dance on the spot not quite sure what it stands for.

I am so pleased that your day went well. He sounds very thoughtful which is always a plus. I mean how many people (never mind men) would remember your favourite tipple. Excellent taste by the way that is one of mine too. As for bringing your little girl sweets Awwwwwww how sweetb:o He sounds like a keeper. Yes, I know what you mean about things not being hard work. My OH and I have always just fit if you see what I mean. When we were teenagers we were the best of friends and had so much in common it was uncanny. Now I just find him so comfortable to be with and he is somebody who I can just be quiet with too.
You like blues too? Isnt it strange how we have gravitated to people on here who have similar interests. I LOVE jazz and blues. Went to Chicago last year and had a great time visiting the blues and jazz clubs. You will have to keep us up to date with this.

    Poles
That is a good start, no games, no faffing about, just know where you stand. Nice :)

    Tada list

    Got up, made beds
    Showered
    Had breakfast
Took DD to hol club, drove to work
    Run at lunchtime
Picked DD up from hol club
Made DDs packed lunch for tomorrow
Made dinner, ate dinner, cleared up
    Deadheaded and watered baskets
    Put DD to bed
    Caught up with diaries

That's it really. I am going to epilate my legs in a minute (well probably 30 haha) need to keep on top of these things now :D

Then I'm going to give my friend a call. She lost her job on Friday :( so today is the first day she's been able to really crack on with sorting everything out.

Oh you look really busy today. I've not done much but it's Monday.

I know what you mean about "it not being hard work", it's a lovely feeling. He scored points for the JD and sweets for DD:)

I first saw it on Cheery Daff's diary, so I pinched it from her:rotfl: Mind you, I seem to have forgotten to post my 'ta-da' lists...must start that up - thanks for reminding me;)
I really need to sort out a new signature!
