I wish we were on a water meter - in the old house I was paying £30 a month on a meter and it's now gone up to £42 as this house has no meter, urgh. I might investigate a meter - and see if landlord would mind.
It's the first day of my hols now...46 days off anyone?!;)

Hello!! Long time no speak! Have you settled into your beautiful new house yet? I am very jealous of your holiday :)

Our water is £20.23 per month at the mo. I can't see it being cheaper than that on a meter....

In financial news, my monthly payment has now gone out to barclaycard, much reduced mind, but together with today's PAD of £1.19 the balance is now below £600:T I am getting there...

In other news - I have been in work for nearly 5 hours and my boss hasn't had one conversation with me, still got a cob on from yesterday when I snapped (justifiably) at him. Ho hum....

I drove home from work in the worst rain I have ever driven in. I had to wait for 10 minutes when I got to A1di before I could even get out of the car..

Spent £33.34 which was much more than I was expecting considering I thought it was just going to be a small shop. I did have to get dd some stuff for packed lunches next week at holiday club so I guess that must have bumped it up a bit. We are sorted for the week more or less. Just need to get some milk and some spinach tomorrow.

At about 9.30 tonight I decided that I couldn't live with the mess in this house any longer and have had a blitz. The problem with having quite a large kitchen is there is more room to dump junk :o So far I have:-

Cleared up noticeboard of all unnecessary paper.
    Repinned the necessary paper
    Tidied breakfast bar
    Filed away paperwork
Cut plugs off old portable TV and broken freeview box and saved the fuses (how MSE am I?)
Broken down old packaging for recycling
Gathered together a huge pile of carp to take to the tip on Sunday
Done 2 loads of washing and put a 3rd on to finish first thing tomorrow.

Midway through doing all this ^^^^ the rain started coming down again and making a horrendous noise. The water was gushing off the guttering that I still haven't got round to clearing :( and now my back door is leaking (all yours Z)..

    ....

Not that long...I posted on here last week;);) I think you're the only thread I keep posting on...honoured?!?:rotfl:
House is good thank you - I love it:D So much bigger than our last one, I need more furniture to fill the bedrooms! But I am reluctantto buy much until I know if the landlady is going to be happy with a longterm tenant - I'd hate to buy new drawers ect only to have to move again in a few months and it'd probably be a smaller house for the money:o

The area isn't as bad as I'd thought and I still moan about parking on the road, but otherwise it's good.

Off to my sisters for a bbq later then small theme park place with T's vouchers (postponed day out for dd2's bday in May when it rained;)). She had a friend sleep over last night and they were pretty late so just enjoying the peace.

    Have a lovely weekend:D
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Ah yes I did see that you'd posted last week but was probably in too much of a rush to properly 'chat'. Have you started another diary? I haven't seen your old one for ages - please keep posting - you're the one who keeps me motivated :)

I'm glad you've settled in to your new house. The parking here is bad - you get used to it. I've got to get some new furniture - decent stuff is so expensive. I feel another savings pot coming on.....

We went to the tip yesterday after all. Need to go to the bottle bank today :o

There was a carnival in town yesterday so we went to watch that. I had an awful headache so took a couple of Synd0l and they knocked me out within about 15 mins. I dozed in and out of consciousness while the Tour de France was on but was awake for the end fortunately.

We went to the tribute concert down by the river and it was brilliant. We bumped into WLM and dd was really weird with him! At first I thought she was going to be OK then she went all shaky and teary and he had to disappear :(. He was texting me throughout the evening though ** I think if anything is going to develop there it will have to be kept quiet and I haven't mentioned that I'm popping over to his this afternoon - I'm going to have to avoid all news reports as I'm going to miss the final stage of the tour - bad planning on my part :wall:

** and typical, just as all this is happening the bloke I was 'seeing'(;)) a couple of months ago texted me at 1.30am  after pretty much no contact for a month (barring workibg together - cardinal sin I know :o)

Loaf of bread is in the BM, we have a Herman cake to bake - I will take some round to WLM's house - we are going to put crunchie in this one mmmmmm...

I've had a lovely day. Went over to WLM's house and helped with some of the work there. Still not sure what's going on and again stupidly (cowardly?) didn't ask what was going on. We did chat about how strange dd had acted last night and he did say well hopefully it's something she can get used to so obviosuly he is thinking to the future. In a weird way I don't feel too bothered either way. It's nice to have the attention and feels good to have him back as a friend at the very least so we'll see what happens. My self-esteem is sky high at the moment so maybe that's why I don't feel too fussed.

DD had a great time at the birthday party and when I went to collect her we stayed another hour. The kids were playing nicely and the adults just sat in the sun and chatted. It was all very pleasant.

Came home and dd was shattered so she went to bed. I reheated a huge spag bol that I had intended for the 2 of us and I sat and watched the Tour highlights whilst I ate.

Just had a bath and will go to bed to watch TV. New TOWIE starts tonight - it's my one guilty pleasure ;)

Fantastic day all round, not just for British cycling but also for polesalot :D

I rang up the W00lwich to find out what my new repayments would be come October on my new rate. They've given me an approximate figure (which may actually be lower by then) and it looks like I'll be about £230 per month better off :T. I've been on the MFW board and copied one of the spread sheets so I can see how my mortgage balance will go down with any overpayments I make. I'm aiming for £100 per month to start with.

Payday tomorrow and I've already shifted money around (for value tomorrow of course). We're not left with very much as per usual but all bills, food, petrol, holiday spends and emergency fund have been taken care of.

I will have various kitten related expenses falling into this month too. I've worked out what litter and food to get and have found the cheapest website for the brands I want (recommended on pet board) and they can come out of my paypal balance. They will need jabs and flea treatment too which I have not allowed for but I will worry about that when it happens. My mum has a cat bed bought for her cat that has never been used so I will see if they will sleep in that - I know cats tend to sleep where they want and I will borrow her carrier but will eventually have to buy 2 for when they are bigger. Still need to get food and water bowls, litter tray and toys for them. Starting to get excited about them coming now :)

Got a text from CSA this morning so I can expect money from them by about Thursday so that's a relief. There's often an extra weekly payment that they send separately the following day (why?) so hopefully that will be the case this month too.

The meter reader called today while we were out so I read them and rang the readings through. I'd only done them myself about 6 weeks ago so it will be interesting to see if they want to amend my direct debit again.

I amended my direct debit to barclaycard for the 4th month running :o and have done it so that the balance will go down to £520. I've already PADded £1.92 today so it will be less than that but they are adding interest now so it may go up a little. The PADs should take care of the interest anyway.

Got loads of Song Pop requests so off to sort them out...

Another gorgy-aarrse day so I had a dip in the pool at lunchtime. I love working where i work, it's just a pity i have to work when i get there IYSWIM :D

£1.73 PAD today. Another NSD. There's been a £10 note in my purse since Friday and it's been untouched :T

Great pole class tonight but because it's so hot skin tends to stick to the pole a little too much so I think I have left a few layers behind.....

Also got mistaken for my friend's mum as we were walking into class. I guess this is the sort of thing that will start happening now I am 40. To be fair she is only 24 and looks younger but I was still put out :(

Another lovely day so another dip in the pool :)

Maintenance received from CSA so all good there. £1 PAD to barclaycard. Spends today £2.36 posting a present to my cousin's youngest.

Have cleaned bathroom, washed all the towels and deadheaded and watered the gardens.

Have finally cleared the guttering. Just spent half an hour on the extension roof scooping all the gravel and silt out by hand  dd was no help whatsoever. She wouldn't even go in the shed to get me a scoop to make it easier for fear of spiders. In fact she wouldn't even go near the shed . Anyway it's done now so hopefully it will prevent any back door leakage next time it tips it down.
