You will be able to plug a memory stick in and it will play movie/song files
off it. You'll have to check to see which formats of movie file are compatible.
MPEG (incl. MP3) is a given, and Ogg try really hard to get their stuff on
everything. Other formats tend to be a bit of a crap shot.

    Thanks. What is Ogg??????
So now there's going to be action there?

    I hope so...it's such a waste otherwise ;)

Don't you say that about most of your nights? ;)

I do. This is a different kind of pain....it hurts more :p

Nope. It's what happens when you knacker your back.

Hot baths I find work really well. As does a massage - but I find they're
hard to come by alas.

You and me both (see above)..

Got dd's school report today. Absolutely fab. She's at level 4 which according to the accompanying sheet 'represents achievement at the nationally expected standard for most 11 year olds'. She's 8 :D Very very proud mummy. As a reward I am going to take her to get her ears pierced on Sunday afternoon.

Food shop tonight came to £19.56 :T still have a couple of bits to get tomorrow which is always dangerous for me as it never stays at a couple of bits but must be good now I have bought the TV and am having to factor in future kitty costs.

Have had a few more bids on the handbag. It's still got a couple of hours left on it so hoping for a couple more quid before it ends.

Need to be up early tomorrow. I want to get my eyebrows threaded, go to the library, go to the post office, pop to sainsbugs and be back in time for hair appt at 1pm. Have started using a new mobile hairdresser - £8 for a cut & blowdry. I can get my hair done every month at those prices :j

I'm out tomorrow night for my friends 40th drinks. It's a local pub, so close in fact that I could probably walk home alone afterwards (but prob won't have to as others will be going the same way as me).

Then I have my meet up with WLM on Sunday morning...starting to feel wobbly now.....

Ogg is a multimedia container format (bit like AVI). Everything you ever wanted to know about Ogg (but preferred to talk about something else instead)...

    • Lose the will to live in half a page...

Pain that hurts - I bet that doesn't happen very often... ;)

Thanks you for mentioning the TVs at T£sco- I've just bought one too for dd2s room...I registered at my new address with a new email and got £10 off too:T In her room there is only 1 single power socket (ridiculous) and she has an old tv with separate DVD, free view box and aerial...so 4 things to plug in! She sits in the dark when watching tv as you can't plug the light in too:rotfl:

Pleased with my purchase - can pick it up from our store that's only a couple of miles away, so no postage.

Good luck with WLM, I look forward to hearing about it;)

You're very welcome. Mine is being delivered to work today but I am on a half-day and it hadn't arrived when I left so I'll get it tomorrow.

Meeting with WLM was really nice. He mentioned that he'd thought of us a lot and several times he said things that implied he'd like to see more of us (me?). He's doing up his rental house. The previous tenants haven't looked after it so he's got them out and is now doing it up to sell. He asked if I'd like to cast my Sarah Beeny eye over it and help with the redecoration...which of course I said I would...I like getting my hands dirty with that kind of thing. He'd got dd some stickers and asked if I wouldn't mind him popping along and bumping into us at an open air concert we're going to next week.

All in all it went well but I stupidly never asked why he'd got back in touch - I din't want to spoil the atmosphere...it was lovely chatting and catching up. I always enjoyed our chats.

    We'll see.....

Following dd's glowing school report I took her to get her ears pierced yesterday. She was nervous and excited. It took them ages to get the dots in the right place as her lobes are so dinky but they did it in the end. The asked if she wanted to hold my hand while they did it but I said 'you must be joking - I'm going to take the photos...' :rotfl:

I'm cooking myself some risotto and having a couple of hours off before I pick dd up from school. We get a chance to look at her work and meet her new teacher. Then we have the dreaded dentist.....more expense!!

Well time enough to ask about why the change of heart later. No need to scare him off yet :D

Yay! One less poor unloved house and redesign fun for you. I so don't understand why people don't look after places... I usually leave mine in a better state than I rented them. The landlord here has already had plenty of tree surgery and garden maintenance for free!

Hope DD is pleased with her ears and they're not hurting too much... and that the dentist went OK.

Dentist went OK. I had a descaling (as per usual :o) and check-up - dd was OK but may have to see an orthodontist after our next visit in 9 months time. Total spend £17.50.

I have managed to go for 3 runs this week and do a fairly strenuous pole class. Now doing reverse shoulder mounts - hardcore stuff. More bruises...

I had a letter yesterday from Woolwich about my mortgage rate which ends in September. It's currently at 5.99% and will drop to 1.45% :j. This means that my monthly payment will go down, I can overpay a bit AND have extra in my account

Proving the theory that what's given with one hand is taken away with the other, I also had a letter from the water company informing me that we'll be going onto a meter soon :( Not very happy about this because I actually pay less now than when I was living on my own in my flat 10 years ago (yes I was on a meter then).:(

Had a £1 credit from NWB as a partial interest repayment after their c*ck-ups last month. I PADded it straight to barclaycard.

Have hoovered all through, cooked dinner ( a real mish-mash of stuff from the freezer - smoked haddock, fish fingers, scampi and chips plus sweetcorn), watered the gardens and done some washing. I was going to do a bit of ironing too but there's far too little there to bother with and I ironed four (yes 4) duvet covers last night so I am still sick of the sight of the ironing board. So I'm sitting here watching TV and eating chocolate :p

Friday tomororrow so must do food shop. The olympic torch is coming our way - dd is going to see it with mum and dad then it comes to the town next to the village where i work. I doubt I'll get out to see it.

Saturday evening we're going to see some tribute bands down by the river.

On Sunday afternoon dd is going to a party and I have said i will go along to WLM's house and help him with a bit of the work that needs doing there. I'm quite good at rubbing down and filling holes :D

I wish we were on a water meter - in the old house I was paying £30 a month on a meter and it's now gone up to £42 as this house has no meter, urgh. I might investigate a meter - and see if landlord would mind.
It's the first day of my hols now...46 days off anyone?!;)
