Well some of those sound very doable. Have to say I love having a wireless printer, it saves soooo much trekking back to plug in.

Another fan of my wireless printer:D
And I like the sound of leather jacket and wedge boot things, got to have some things to look forward to:)

So how do you get your printouts then..?

Later on, when I've printed several things.

Which is much less irritating than going from the room with the textbooks and scribbles through to the room with the printer, then having to squinch up by the printer due to the tiny cable and remember I left the info for the next 3 things I wanted to print in the last room... :p

I cleared out nearly 2500 emails from my home email account last night. It was starting to get ridiculous. I stopped looking at them because there was always so much carp turning up in my in box so by ignoring the whole thing entirely it was just making it worse. The plan is now to keep on top of it on a daily basis :rotfl:

Epic washing going on here tonight. Third load is in and I will put the fourth in before I go to bed to finish by the time I get up tomorrow. This way I only have one mega ironing pile per week to get through rather than about four medium sized piles. Works out at about 2-3 fewer loads per week so should save on electric and a little on washing powder too. it all helps I guess.

Payday tomorrow and it really is a case of damage limitation now :(. Grocery shopping has been cut to just £20 per week which is the lowest I have ever budgetted it at. We have stacks of stuff in the freezer and the cupboards so it really is just a case of getting the fresh stuff. This is just for this month though - I couldn't possibly sustain a £20 pw food budget for any longer than that and I certainly couldn't do it if my freezer and cupboards were empty!

    Meal plan

Saturday - spag bol (should make at least 4 extra for freezr)
    Sunday - chicken chasseur
    Monday - salmon pasta
    Tuesday - scampi, chips
Wednesday - chilli (HM from freezer)
Thursday - tuna steak, new potatoes, corn on cob
    Friday - fish pie
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :j
    Happiness is not a destination - it's a journey :)

I have over 5000 messages in my inbox:eek: I did keep on top of it for a while then got out the habit...and now it's a right job to sort it:o I might feel inspired by you and sit and do it tonight...while watching the Bachelor;)
Yummy looking meal plan...can I come for tea?:D good luck with the grocery spends, impressed with that amount for you both.

    I've been AWOL again....:o

Messed up on the food budget. Came in at about £24 but that did include a bottle of wine (£4) to take to a Jamie at Home party that I went to on Friday evening so theoretically I would have succeeded :D

(Only spent £6.50 at the JaH party too :)). Loads in the freezer so should come in quite low this week too and the cash is already in my purse (and therefore already accounted for) so won't need to use card.

We've been up to quite a lot. Went for a 5 mile bike ride with dd on Sunday and then did about 10 miles with my Dad on Monday. Did a lot on proper roads too so I'm getting much braver now. My dad left me behind on the hills! He's 68 FGS! And there was me thinking I was quite fit.

I also decided to have a clear out of my wardrobe. Anything that didn't make me either look or feel fabulous went in the charity bag or the bin. Consequently I now have a very spacious wardrobe but hardly any clothes . i do however feel that at the grand age of 40 I have finally found my style even if it does seem to be a bit sparse at the moment.

We made cupcakes with loads of buttercream on top. DD isn't eating them because she said the food colouring we put in the buttercream makes it taste funny. It does have a bit of a tang but I am managing to get through 2 a night (it's a hard life). It's a good job I've been running 3 times this week :D

I've realised I was running before I could walk with my 'wants list'. What I really need is a 'needs list' haha so here it is..

    Needs List

Tights for work (if this carppy weather continues)
    Light bulbs
Tops for work (following wardrobe cull)

As in the wants list this one will probably be added to. Too.

I upped my dd to barclaycard by another £100. It means going further into my overdraft but at least this will be taken care of when I get paid and I can adjust spending accordingly. Other wise I would still have been a little o/d but would only have been paying £25 off this month. So, now the card balance will be £125 lower and I will take care of the current account as and when.

Paid the after school club fees yesterday so that was another £151.

I've still been making the odd PAD. Probably managed about a fiver in total this last week. It all helps.

WLM has been texting me quite a bit (for him). Sometimes it seems like the texts are any little reason just to text me IYSWIM. I don't mind at all. It's nice :)

I have done some ironing tonight and hoovered all through. Second load of washing is about to come out - might see if I can get a third load in before I nod off on the sofa.............

Counted out my money yesterday for the food shop and there was £23 in there. Was meticulous going round M's and it came in at £21.72 :T. Very pleased with that. Not so pleased with M's as while I've been defecting to A1di they have changed the whole store around and I couldn't find anything . Spent more time traipsing backwards and forwards looking for stuff than I would have doing my entire shop in A1di..

Have done some ironing this morning. Just need to put away now. All school clothes and PE kits have been ready since just after the summer holidays started. DD informed me this morning that her school shoes still fit. Just need to get our hair cut - will try to fit that in this Tuesday because I am off (due to staff development day  and no holiday club because some schools go back on Tuesday anyway).

This afternoon we are going to a medieval thing going on at the castle in the next town that WLM told me about (he's not going though as he is working :(). There's lots of re-enactments, story telling, archery, medieval fashion show (!) that sort of thing. We'll have lunch first and only stay for a few hours so hopefully the tenner that I am going to take (that I can ill afford) will be enough.

Loads of post has just dropped through the door - I'm hoping there will be a letter from The Woolwich notifying me of my new, lower mortgage payment.

Going for another bike ride tomorrow. DD said she would only come if we could make cupcakes in the afternoon. Suits me :D

  • Oooh, fabulous grocery spends:T I hate it when they move stuff around - I like knowing exactly where I'm going, you can whizz about going to the same shelves each time:D

Your afternoon sounds brilliant - hoping for some fb photos;) I never hear of anything unusual like that round here...all we do is go to town, not a cheap pastime. Going back to school next week will save me a fortune!

Fingers crossed for your letterfrom the Woolwich...though I have to admit when I first scanned the sentence I read it as 'my new lover' not your 'new lower....' :rotfl:Though with WLM in contact new lover might be appropriate...maybe???!:T

No letter from Woolwich but got my Orange bill in and it's far less than I was expecting. Thinking back now I cancelled the EXTORTIONATE insurance that i had been paying for the old 3GS so it's knocked loads off the monthly bill.:)

Our afternoon was brilliant! We walked up the castle (my calves are feeling it today) which we've done before but my friend and her ds hadn't. Then we did some archery (badly but it was our first time) and then we went to listen to the monk/doctor tell us how they used to treat battle wounds in the middle ages. The man was really good, very entertaining, great with the kids but my friend's ds and another child said they felt sick and another child fainted! My dd just giggled through the whole thing. Horrible Histories has obviously toughened her up! Then we did the usual face painting, ice creams and a bit more archery and came home. A very fun afternoon.

Today we went for a bike ride and I dowloaded a free app to track the route. Turns out we did 6.7 miles, although it was actually more than that because we'd already done about 3/4 mile before I decided to download it. So in total I think we did about 7.5 miles and dd didn't complain once :T

I kept my side of the bargain so we made cupcakes this afternoon. Good job we went for that bike ride...

I made a fish pie for dinner, dd has just got some of her summer holiday homework done and now she's in bed. I need to sort out a charity bag that's being collected tomorrow (can't be @rsed to ebay it all) and just generally tidy round.

It feels weird today, not like a Sunday at all...
