My car window got fixed saturday morning and it has doen me a favour really because the window winddown mechanism didn't work before but it does now!
I had a lovely night out with my friend - we went for a curry and then found a nice pub which had a live singer. I drove as I'd had a bad head all day and all was very MSE until i got back to my road and there were no spaces  so I parked on double yellows at the end of the road to save walking through the streets late at night on my own and got a parking ticket :mad::mad: thing is they haven't quoted the correct registration number - does this make it an invalid ticket??????
DD and I got our food shop done yesterday and then we went for a really long walk to see if my head would clear. We walked through 5 fields which was about 3 miles to the woods like we did last week - had lunch in the country park and went to walk back to the fields and couldn't remember the way back :rotfl:we were walking for 2 hours!!! I was almost at the point of walking back to the park entrance and phoning for a cab but my MSE head wouldn't let me. We eventually just tried another path and were on the right track (so to speak). Never have i been so pleased to see the rape seed fields. We still had the 3 mile walk from there back to the car so I think we did about 10 miles in totalWhat a good job it was lovely and sunny because i would have been majorly peed off it had been raining.
We had a lovely bath and a HM fishpie when we got in but my head still hadn't cleared.
Feels Ok today though and I have been for my first run for nearly 2 weeks

I need a huge virtual kick up the backside. Financial situation is worse than dire this month. I've had a few things to pay out for that I wouldn't usually e.g. windscreen excess (which I will get back), wreath for my dear uncle (which i don't begrudge at all) plus I've been out a couple of times too which is never planned for and now I'm paying for it (literally).
I also drove past a mobile speed camera this morning (I was miles away having just ordered the wreath and considering ringing the florist up and asking her to amend what is written on the card because I couldn't get the right words out without crying when i was in the shop) and by bthe time I'd noticed it I was alrteady doing 35mph in a 30 zone. I'll have to wait and see what happens..............It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Hi yes I'm fine thanks for asking Coco. Fallen of the MSE wagon in a bad way (but at least I have my pole). Lots of other expense too so feel quite depressed writing it all down but have got my CC below the £800 mark. If I hadn't had all my car expense this would have been the month that I would have paid it all off
Good news is I paid the balance on our holiday yesterday so that is all sorted. Just need to get some spends together now.
It's my uncle's funeral tomorrow. I hope the weather stays nice for it, make it less depressing, if that is at all possible. I will be a mess anyway..
There is something else going on in my life right now but I'm reluctant to put it down here because I'm unsure who is able to read this at work suffice to say I'm off my food and having late nightsIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Glad to hear you are ok (apart from falling of wagon bit of course !
Hope all goes as well as it can tomorrow ....
:T yay !! To late nights & going off your food - good news
Enjoy !!

I've been AWOL (again
).
My uncle's funeral went really well. It was a lovely hot day and it was nice to see my cousin (back from Australia). I was a mess but it was a lovely service.
Having lots of fun in other areas though. Have decided that life is just too short to take the moral high ground. I'm very tired though
We had a lovely day at work yesterday. We decorated our office with bunting, had sausages in buns when we got in, bucks fizz, brought in crisps and biscuits and someone's mum made a gorgeous victoria sponge.
Work has been busy recently but at least I've been able to get in the pool at lunchtime - bliss
I have spent the past two days trying to track down the perfect pair of 'going out' jeans. I hate buying jeans with a passion but at least I know where I am with my slouchy jeans. Can't really wear them for a night out though.
I have bought and taken back one pair to Ada's and will how need to take back the pair I exchanged them for because quite frankly they were awful - made me look too mumsy
I tried 4 pairs on in N.ext and the ones that fit the best were the most expensive at £45 . Of course they were. I bought them anyway then popped into Mark's and tried on an extremely similar pair which fit just as well £19.50 down £15.60 at the till :T. The N.ext ones will be going back....
Also went shopping for my birthday present. My sis is going to get me a Pand0ra ring with my birthstone (moonstone) and DD is getting me one which is a very thin band of silver flowers.
We are off out tonight to a jubilee party at a club that my friend works at so that should be nice. I will wear my new jeans
I am now the proud owner of a laptop. My uncle had bought one not six months before he died. It's a good one too - a S0ny Va10. I am very lucky. Mum and Dad are going to get me a bike for my birthday now. This has worked out quite well really - I have ended up with a better laptop than I could have hoped for and Mum and Dad won't be spending as much because the bike I like is cheaper than any laptop. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Marks you say for the jeans? looking for a pair myself but got fed up looking the other day, the other advantage to M&S being I can be a size 10 again

Yes mine were a 10 too and the good thing is they do 3 different leg lengths too. I think the trick is to take as many pairs as you can into the changing room - even styles you think won't suit. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Grrrrrrr...just in the middle of typing a long reply and it disappeared
We had a great time last night. There was drag act on, probably not the wisest choice given it was a family night but she was so funny. She sang loads of cockney songs and really got everyine into the jubilee spirit.
I was looking around and nosing at what jeans the other women were wearing and came to the conclusion that they only suit a very small percentage of women. Also decided that jeggings are wrong on so many levels....
Have had a lazy(ish) day today as I have had a sore throat since Thursday. I have however done all the ironing, made a fish pie and sorted out the laptop. (I'm using it now, can you tell?)
I think I've got it sorted. My main worry was losing all my iTunes stuff but I think I've managed to keep everything I wanted. I'm so computer illiterateI managed to transfer over all the photos I had on the old pc - that was easy...
I am so bored now though! I am starting to feel very angry about the awful weather. Last weekend was so lovely. I really feel I am going mad staying indoors - I just want to go for a really long walk.
Hope it brightens up tomorrow.....It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
