Food shop tonight and budget is set at £35 p/w for this month which I think should be fine. Actually it has to be fine :rotfl:

Well that went out the window, never mind, I can afford to splash out a bit more at the beginning of the month. Food shop came to £38.33.

Popped to town this morning, sent off my ebay parcel and stocked up on first class stamps before the price hike at the end of the month. Picked up a few bits in Tatco, various cards for friends who have milestone birthdays this week, some hair dye (which is doing its thing as I type) and some more cream for my poor sore eyes. They are really watery in the morning although they don't itch but the watering is making the skin underneath really sore. One of them actually has a red scab underneath the lashes. My actual eyes feel dry and gritty by the afternoon. I look hideous.

I asked my doctor about them on Monday and he said just use normal face cream. Well that is making them even more sore so that hasn't worked. I reckon I've spent about £30 over the last couple of months. Now after speaking to the pharmacist in B00ts I have bought an antibiotic ointment £4.99. Only thing is it's really hard to put in my eyes. It's hard to squeeze out and then it won't detach from the tube into my eyes. It's really starting to get me down now. I also bought some eye cream that was recommended on here for the soreness underneath my eyes (£9.50) so I'm hoping that will help.

Hair dye is almost done so must sign off...

Warm it up. When you make a cup of tea for you, make a cup of hot water for your tubular friend and drop him in it.

Wait until it cools a little though before applying.

I've been using plain old V@seline for the dry and red bits under my eyes and eyebrows and it's got better over a few days/week. I am prone to eczema but can't use my normal eczema cream on the eye area...tried vaseline and it doesn't irritate and has made the skin much, much less dry.
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Thanks, I'll try that next time although my last attempt was quite successful.

I did try this for a while but as my eyes were running I think that's what's causing the red scabbyness...it really is horrible. The ointment itself has actually made the redness seem much better (as I kept missing my inner eye, I ended up smearing it round with my fingers and it seems to have done some good :))

Hair all dyed - a nice browny black, eyes just look a greasy mess now but at least there is a little improvement.

My friend has just text me - there is a leak in her dining room from all this rain. It really is relentless. We're supposed to be getting a months worth tomorrow . I reckon there will be lots of calls to insurance companies about leaks over the next few days :(

Lovely storm last night. I love a good storm :D

Three (normal) items sold on ebay so have popped to the PO today and sent them off. Eagerly awaiting feedback for my unorthodox item :D.

10 more items listed last night.

I need to relist a load of stuff that didn't sell last week but need to amend the postage costs. I'll do that in a minute.

Have booked the mobile tyre man to come here tomorrow and fit my new tyres while I'm at work. I can't justify buying the pole until I've bought the tyres :D

£1.90 PAD to barclaycard.

HMRC have written to me 3 times this year to inform me that I am no longer eligible for tax credits. Yes I know. I understood that from the first letter you sent me, I haven't queried it or whinged about it so why do you insist on wasting taxpayers money telling me the same thing every time?

I woke up with a rotten headache this morning and I have been doing so well at avoiding them. I don't think the huge extremely naughty but bluddy gorgeous stack of cheese I ate at 11 o'clock last night helped much but it just wouldn't go despite taking 2 very well known migraine tablets. I decided not to go for a run and walked my usual running route. It took ages but it did get rid of the headache :)

My tyres have been done and were 80p less than I was expecting. I will PAD that money tomorrow.

Today's PAD - £1.43 :)

I have cleaned the bathroom, cooked dinner, cleared away and done maths homework and some reading with DD. She's now in bed. I will have a mooch on here and then I have small bit of ironing to do.

Got a letter yesterday from our neighbourhood watch. 'The Chavs' it would seem are annoying everyone. We are going to have a meeting away from the road to discuss what to do about them. The letting agents, environmental health and trading standards have been informed of what's been going on but apparently there needs to be more complaints and a stronger case built against them before anything can be done. Why do certain people seem to have more rights and get away with more things than decent hardworking, law-abiding, tax-paying people?????

My eyes still aren't quite right. I've almost got the knack of putting the ointment in - I squeeze it out then clamp my eyelid round and hope it stays in :o It does look rather mucky - worse even than the eye infection itself. It also means that the skin around my eyes is very greasy making it hard to apply make-up. Barbara Cartland eat your heart out :p

£1.86 PAD today :)
