so we went for an 8 mile walk. Lovely. At this rate I'm going to need to get some walking boots!

Where are you walking and in what?

It's best to get the proper footwear before the twisted ankle rather than after.

I have ordered my pole :j Hopefully will be arriving Thursday. Ordered some grip stuff too :D

    Chalk?

I walked to the next town today (another 2.5 miles) to pay in the contents of my Hedgehog which made up most of the cost of the pole. I then walked even further to the post office to post my ebay sales off - pair of jeans, 2 CDs and a Minnie Mouse hair thing which sold for over £7 when I listed it at 99p :T.

Got back and had sold another 2 CDs..Good.

You're certainly rolling through those sales.

My TiVo was installed today too so can't wait to get home and have a play with that although it will be after 9pm as I have my pole class tonight.

    So many new toys ;)

    Ooer missus... ;)

Just what i would call 'boy boots' like T1mberlands but not. I've had them ages - cost me about £8 7 years ago...we go through fields and woods. It's very nice.

I know, but it's a question of economics at the moment. I have a pole to pay for :D

    Chalk?

No it's called Dry Hands, much better grip than chalk.

You're certainly rolling through those sales.

    I know..I love it.:D

I feel quite rough today. I don't know if it's a cold coming (everyone around me seems to be suffering) or if it's a combination of all the walking I've been doing and last night's pole damage but I am aching rather badly. Want my sofa :o

Had to nip out at lunchtime and buy a new hairdryer. There was a distinctive burning smell coming from ours this morning. It's done well though - it's about 7 years old. Got a new one in Ada's for £7.99.

Just had a text to say my pole will be delivered tomorrow :j although if I still feel like this it won't be going up....

    £2.73 PAD to barclaycard :)

Oh poor you :grouphug: - I hope you're getting to spend some time with your sofa. This is the kind of thing emergency pizzas are for.

Very exciting about pole delivery :j

Well those boots are not too bad and should provide some comfort, support and protection. I've seen people out walking in flip-flops before...:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I decided to make a start on my shreddding last night. I had 2 bulging carrier bags and it took me about 2 hours to turn just half of one of them into 2 black sacks full

I still feel achey but need to go to the post office so I'm going to walk to the next village again. The fresh air will do me good if nothing else.

    £1.71 PAD to barclaycard.

My pole arrives today between 2.41 and 3.41 :rotfl:

The pole is up :D It's quite tricky as of course it is very heavy - not the easiest thing to install when it's a 2 man job and the second person is an 8 year old . However, with the teeniest amount of bad language from me :o we managed it. Girl power :T. I drew a circle round the ceiling plate so we can tell if it slips at all. It did once but then we tightened it up and so far it's been OK. I'm still a little bit wary of it and am scared to do anything too tricky but the longer it stays in position the braver I'll be. The hardest part was getting it completely vertical!

Pub for lunch - I am starving :D

Grrr...got back fro the pub to an email from the gardener here. He was doing some strimming near the car park and flicked a small stone up and it's smashed my front passenger door window. I know it wasn't deliberate but it's a nuisance. I can't leave my car in my road tonight so will have to leave it in my mum and dad's garage. I was going to visit a friend tomorrow morning so will have to cancel that and wait in for the glass company to come. I can't get my food shop done tonight either as I usually would so that will have to wait till Sunday when I am more than likely to be hungover because I'm going out tomorrow night.

Things could be far worse though. At least he has offered to pay my excess of £65.

There are some 8 year olds I'd choose over some adults...
