  • I have to commit to facing some fears over the next few days. Hang in there mate you are not alone whether hoovering curtains, cleaning bathrooms or sorting out head stuff

Is it normal to hoover curtains ?

That had me laughing out loud :rotfl:.

Is there no place that those poor spiders can hide.

"Dig out ebay box, some stuff in there that I've been procrastinating about listing. Still procrastinating on this one.." (DC Complete this Challenge Thread)

Caught you, hoovering the curtains is a displacement technique to stop you getting on with the ebay listing, which you should be doing.

To be truly amazing and indestructible that ebay listing has to be done today.

We'll allow you a cup of PG first of course. :rotfl:

I'm laughing but maybe everyone else does hoover their curtains and we are the exceptions. There's a thought.

I still haven't done my ironing but I have done the childrens bathroom, which is always a scary prospect!!

I have hoovered curtains in the past when they are particularly dusty, but don't do it anything like regularly.

  • Well actually Scrooge, I went under the stairs to make sure gas engineer had access to pipes and stuff, however as I opened door and stood and looked at the tower of total tat that stood before me I spied said box and moved it, dropped it, about 30 ancient horse brasses fell out, a brass toasting fork, a strange looking pin cushion, some books - all my grans. And of course I started my usual muttering about 'oh haven't got time for this' started picking it all up, engineer rings doorbell , mad dog goes madder, usual picture of total chaos.

So I...er...know..where it is, does that count ?

(Of course you know engineer didn't need to go under stairs after all that !)

I think hoovered curtains really need washing, but think dear DH made it very technical to take them down, you know when you just have that inkling that there was a dilemma when putting them up. See they are on a mid stair landing and window sill is shoulder height.

    Stay tuned.

    Yep, it definitely counts.

I feel like the virtual Shred watchers on Hypno's squidgy sofa.

Sitting here with my feet up, willing you on, while you are lugging brasses around the house and hoovering curtains.

Keep up the good work, you could do for our houses what Hypno is doing for our figures.

  • Morning
7.40am and til dark and miserable out there, but won't let it affect me. Just checked nasty Marbles balance online and the balance transfer has happened :j. I now owe the load of 'balls' card £5,598.81.

My aim is to hit below £5k for Xmas. Sounds easy but snowball says balance will be £5,199 in January. With that in mind it is time to stop the ebay procrastination habit, the ebay box has been located, and the 100's of DVD's are also taking up too much space. Also tempted to look at music magpie.

After a busy couple of days I'll be pleased to go to work today, boss is off so I can take it slow and steady.

This weekend is restart the bathroom weekend. Got to catch up with Buffy.

I don't usually do the lottery, but I had a strange dream this week and 5 numbers were in it, so I'm going to spend £5, first time in ages. Could be the universe at work ? Or the money mantra.

    So glad it's Friday.

    Good luck with the lottery!

As for the CC balance- I am sure that once you get started, the money will creep up nicely for the extra payment and you WILL be able to get it below £5k by the end of the year.

Of course, your 5 numbers will help with that one ;)

    Have a good day x
