Hope you got the form filled in Ok. Sometimes its difficult, especially trying to match your skills to the person spec.
A useful tip (if you haven't already been told) is to use the same terminology. It makes it easier for them to fill in the matrix when shortlisting. Makes it more likely you will get shortlisted if you meet all the criteria.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Good Morning
I'm in one of those low spots, a combination of things this week. The situation at work on Monday, good old T.O.M, a rush to get OU final assignment and the application form done and generally not enough hours in the day.
The clutter monster has been visiting while I sleep and there's just stuff appearing in places, and I'm tired of it all.
Pounds and pennies situation is dire, every October I find myself in this situation, with AA, car insurance, car tax and phone bill all due.
I know what is creating this feeling of 'lost', next week would be my dear late DH's birthday, and that always evokes memories of what we used to do on special days. They are happy memories of course but it does create an underlying sadness.
But it is Saturday !and for that I am thankful.
So I have worked through the above situations by doing the following :
Work - remembering that taking comfort in being a victim gives you no real comfort at all. (Ralph Marston - daily motivator TY !)
OU assignment - done it, posted it not to the best of my ability but I've fallen out of love with studying with the OU, I'm not too bothered about the result. I took on too much this Summer.
Job applications, did complete and posted it off, we will see, thinking positive about getting to the interview stage.
Good old TOM, well it's just something that a bar of toblerone will get me through
I have sorted phone bill, AA and car insurance, worked figures out and decided I am dealing in cash only for the rest of the month, ie no Tesco deliveries which are coming in at approx £100 every 2 weeks and I still seem to be lining the pockets of Waitrose with £40 a week. So will allow myself £120 for petrol and groceries until the end of October.
Today I have a mountain of ironing to do, if it stays dry I will attempt the last grass cutting adventure of the year.
The clutter monster is going to have to move out, I shall start by packing a few of his things today, nothing major just the obvious piles of shredding and things to be put away.
So Saturday is going to be the start of some progress. There has to be down times to be up times just working through this oneDC.

Hugs to you - birthdays and anniversaries etc are always tough, but hopefully as the years go by, they will be a little less painful for you x
As for the clutter monster - yes, time to evict him, and serve him with a notice of no return
I look forward to reading about your progress later on!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
(((((DC))))) hugs. Birthdays, anniversaries and other special days bring back bittersweet memories. It was my Nan's birthday yesterday and I felt quite tearful so I know that leading up to your OHs special day is bound to be difficult. Would it help to do something extra special that day to celebrate the years and times that you had together rather than focusing on the loneliness of missing him. Just something simple, something that you used to enjoy doing together. Get the boys involved and turn the day into a family outing or a yearly ritual. It might help to ease the feelings of sadness although they will be there too.
Good luck with the clutter, I cant understand how things multiply myself. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Anniversaries are always hard, as time goes by, the hurt fades, but the memories are always there, both good and bad.
Reading about your DH birthday reminded me that my Nan would have been 100 next week, so need to think of something 'special' for her. She was such a royalist, I wish she had lasted those last couple of years, she would have love a telegram from the Queen.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

hugs DC. You and the boys are doing so well but it is natural to miss him - and it can be good to remember the really positive times you had together and talk about them.
I've roped in a friend to come and help me tackle my clutter monster but I have this terrible suspicion that the clutter monster is me LOL Perhaps you could ask a friend to help you tackle the clutter!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Morning
Thanks for all your lovely wordsJust going with the flow, somethings in life just ...are, aren't they.
£27 on a new iron yesterday .
Grass cut, but once I'd finished I realised I had the setting to high and was wondering why it had been so much easier...so it's had more of a trim than a cut ! Ah well will protect it from the frost !
Leisurely day today.
Hope you all have a good one.DC.
