Thank you
DS1 is incredibly nervous and worried, but he doesn't actually 'need' anything. For what he has acheived/overcome in the past 3 years you can't take exams in. However I'm concerned for his self esteem.
As for me I have put the positive thoughts out there, it will be what is best for everyone.
My legs hurt. Tis obvious to me this shred thing works in places that other DVD's don't.
Have got an extension on OU assignment because I don't stand a chance while I have DS2 on holiday, he his a welcome distraction with his movies, baking and general teenage antics.
Time for one more PGDC.

It's not a brilliant day in the DC household. I have a disappointed DS1 re GCSE's, just got to let him work through it.
Got to have lows to get the highs.
Spag Bol and TLC all round.DC.

Hi DC. What a rubbish day it turned out for you and DS. At least you both got the news on the same day, meaning that you can both wallow for the day and feel sorry for yourselves together. BUT you are only allowed one day because tomorrow is the start of a whole new chapter. What grades did your DS get, is it as bad as he thinks or had he set himself very high standards? Will he be going back after the holidays and resitting them. I wasnt allowed to return to school after my GSEs (there you go that gives my age away) and I thought it would be the end of my world. As it turned out I ended up with a much better paid job (and more responsibilities) than any of the friends that went on to University even. So there are always new paths to tread and different doors to open. Mind you at 16 there is no telling them is there?
I hope that you are bearing up ok and that the spag bol went down well. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Good advice from cherisong as usual. Does he know what he'd like to do? Not every job needs fantastic academic qualifications. If he's not afraid of hard work he'll go far anyway.
Hope the spag bol was goodIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
